Hey all I picked up a black ‘18 2500 Denali the other day and want to get rid of some of the chrome, namely the grille surround piece. Previously I had a ‘15 Silverado that was white which I plastidipped the badges and it came out great however since it was white any black contrast looked great imo. Since my new truck is black I’d like the grille surround to have a gloss finish that’s as similar as possible to the actual gloss finish of the body itself. I’ve ruled out plasti dip with glossifier and am looking at the hyper dip products either piano finish or emerald or even possible a wrap. I’m not going to go the paint route in case I decide to sell it at some point as I know some people prefer all the chrome of a denali. Anyone have any thoughts or experience matching the gloss finish of the factory finish?

Hello, 2012 Silverado 4X4 Ext Cab LC9 with 101k miles. As the title states, I have a unique situation. The cab and bed are entirely off of my truck (T-bone damage), thus I thought this would be a good time to do a DOD delete as well as any other recommended upgrades or repairs WHILE THE CAB AND BED ARE OFF! I haven't looked at too many kits yet (Scoggin Dickeys, Texas Speed, WS6Store, etc) and still figuring what I need/don't need. Definitely would like to put in a mild performance cam if it isn't too much extra. I'm new to these trucks, so I don't know all the weak spots other than the DOD system. Basically, I'm interested in bulletproofing the system much like 6.0 powerstroke owners had to do. I just heard about the oil pickup o-ring. WTH! Wow GM.... Worth it to do this at the same time as the DOD probably. Something about a AFM plate in the oil pan? But I'm open to your input. What else? something about timing chain guides??? I vaguely remember something about a fuel system issue being pretty common as well? Sorry if I am all over the place. SO many questions right now. I just got the cab off yesterday and pretty much planning on ordering what I need by the end of this week Be doing all the work myself Thanks!

Our 2015 Yukon Denali we just bought with 101k miles on it, it rides a little rough. We have driven a tahoe before and it hasn't felt this bad. After doing some research I am finding out the magnetic ride suspension goes bad pretty quickly and becomes a rough ride. I saw somewhere that some people were removing the magnetic ride suspension on denalis and replacing it with the regular suspension thats on the lower trims of yukons and tahoes. Has anyone here done this? If so any issues caused by doing this? Also if anyone has done this, I would be interested in finding out exactly what parts are the best to swap to the regular suspension (part numbers etc.), as there are many different part numbers for the same shocks on gm's parts website, wouldn't know exactly what to start with when it comes to converting the magnetic ride back to standard. Thanks.

New Muffler Delete Interior Video
GMCElevation17 posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Earlier in the year i did a muffler delete on my 2017 Sierra 1500 Elevation. Here's an interior video of the exhaust volume for those of you that are looking to do the same thing. Cheap way to get a good result! -

John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 3/6/2015 Chevrolet will offer both a box-delete option for the Colorado. If there was any doubt that Chevy planned to market the Colorado for work, this new option should clear that up. The option comes exclusively on the 2WD extended cab Colorado with the 3.6-liter, V6 engine and automatic transmission. Chevy deletes $300 from the cost of the truck for those that choose the delete. Hey guys so I have a 2009 GMC sierra 2500 LMM duramax/allison ext cab 4x4 black. I live in Ontario Canada and was wondering about doing and EGR DPF delete. What kits should I look into and what tuners/programs? Is this super expensive to do? I know a bit about it but not very much. Looking for insight on this. What should I delete and what is required to perform the delete. What are the cons and pros of doing this? Thanks guys! Pic appon request !

Lets start off, I don't care about being emission compliant thats for tree hugers. (Already have a full cat back) This coming June I'm deleting my EGR and putting on a Volant cold air intake and having my truck tuned at the local performance/fab shop. Also putting on 275/70/18 terra grappler g2 on which is 33x11. I'm not going to do shorty style headers because headers give you more performance at the top end because of the back pressure. I never drive my truck over 2500 rpm's plus I don't want it to be supper loud going down the highway next year. (driving to collage every day and its my daily driver and I tow daily) I'm trying to get maximum flow in and out to get good highway mpg. I hope theres some guys on there have have done it and can give some input. Thanks!

I have a 2000 gmc 1500 with the 5.3. I ordered a egr block-off plate, and exhaust manifold and intake manifold plugs from route 66 mods. I've heard of people deleting the egr value of gasoline engines. I'm not doing long tube headers, its my truck that drive every day and pull a trailer with and I'm gonna get big wheels and put a SS badge on it that just looks stupid. I looked on the other forums about deleting the egr on the 5.3 and all there is a bunch of guys arguing about what to do that haven't even done it them selves. I don't know if I'll have to have it re-tuned or just clear the code? I hope someone on this forum has done it and knows what to do.
