  1. I installed an aftermarket billet grill on my 2014 GMC Sierra. The horizontal segments of the grill are pretty close together. The truck looks great but now I have wind noise. 20-40 mph I get a humming noise and then higher speeds I get more of a whistling sound of various pitches. Doing some internet hunting, I've seen suggestions of stiffening the horizontal sections by gluing on vertical supports. I've also read about coating the back side of the grill with silicone or some other rubberized-like coating. But I'm not sure how that would fix it. Is it just interrupting the trailing edge of the horizontal members and that stops the noise? Some have suggest adding a mesh behind the grille as well. Anyone have this problem and a sure fire solution (other than getting a new grille!). Thanks!
  2. I really like the bold/big muscular grille on the Sierra. It stands out a lot on Denali with that massive chrome surround. However i don't like chrome. I think this contrast is somehow lost on the AT4 because of the body-colored grille surround. I'm in the process of trying to wrap or paint the grille surround on my AT4 to black but i want to keep my factory red grille surround in-case i ever decide to go back to the stock look. I was looking to buy just the grille surround, wrap or paint it and install. However, it seems the grille is available as one-piece only and you can't get just the surround alone. The whole grille is fairly expensive, over $700. The alternative for me is to buy the accessories grille ($450) in black and just install. I think the accessories grille is the Elevation trim grille and because of my vanity , i don't want to install a Elevation grille on an AT4. I don't believe i can swap the insides. Anyone done this? Grille surround indicated in yellow. Accessories grille in black.
  3. **SOLD** 2016-2018 GMC Sierra Elevation grille that's been professionally painted black. This is a brand new OEM grille. I ordered it and decided to go with a different style grille, absolutely nothing wrong with this grille. Shipping to continental US is free, local pick-up near St Louis MO. Price is $500.
  4. Hi, I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT, and I’m looking for a 2016 - 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ Grille. Not looking for the whole Grille just the part that snaps in behind the bezel. if someone has one for sale I could also trade my LT grille and some cash on top. let me know if anyone’s interested I live in Northern California. thanks!
  5. I have a 2019 custom and it comes with a blacked out plastic front grille. Looking for the same design but in chrome/stainless and wondering if anyone has seen them available anywhere?
  6. Does anyone happen to have a recommendation on where I could take my truck to get the grille and bottom chrome (skid plate cover?) piece painted in the Houston area? I am looking to get my grille surround color-matched to my stock color (Mineral Metallic) as well as the mesh/honeycomb of the grille and the lower chrome piece both painted a satin black. I am hoping I can find a shop that can remove, paint, clear-coat and reinstall these pieces for a reasonable price. I also have the paint code (WA433B/GJB), so I could source the paint myself if it were to make it any cheaper. Does anyone happen to know how much of the Mineral Metallic paint it would take to paint the grille surround, and maybe the lower door mouldings as well?? I'm looking to do something similar to the picture of the red truck, however instead of color-matching the lower piece, I believe I'd go satin black with that as well. Thanks!

  8. Hey all, New member here to the GM-Trucks community. I recently purchased a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT Z71 with the LT1 and Allstar Packages. Loving the truck so far. Got a great deal on it, but there are a few modifications the previous owner made that I'd like to change to reflect my own taste. The previous owner removed the factory badges, emblems, and decals which are the first projects I'm trying to tackle. I've found some OEM GM original Z71 emblems for sale online, as well as the OEM "smoked" or dark grey/black Z71 emblems too. I'm looking to apply the Z71 decals to the bed sides on my pickup. I'm relatively good at decal placement and application, however I do not know the exact measurements of where to place the decals. What I'm looking for are measurements from the top of the bed, and from the tail light and end of the bed. If anyone knows these measurements or has experience with this any tips/info would be appreciated. Also, the previous owner put an aftermarket grille on my truck which I'm looking to replace with an OEM color matching Z71 grille. I'm under the impression that the Z71 has it's own grille and other grilles from the same body style of other trim levels won't work. I'm having a hard time finding a grille online, does anyone have any used parts sites or specific forum where I could look for a replacement? My truck is a metallic dark grey, not sure on the exact paint code. Just looking to be pointed in the right direction of where I can find a decently priced used grille. Thanks in advance
  9. I just purchased a 2013 Sierra 1500 SLT. My first full sized truck, Ive always had S-10s and so far I'm very happy with it. Anyhow, my truck has a chrome grille/bumper(top pic) but I really like the look of the red grille and bumper like in this picture (below). I cant seem to find a red grille or bumper anywhere Ive looked, Im even having a hard time finding a paintable grille to order. I know chrome is hard to prep and paint over, the guy at the local body shop said its not something he likes to do because he has never had good luck with the paint holding up and not chipping. Are there any of you guys out there who have this all red look, or can point me in the right direction for what I'd like to do? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
  10. Hi everyone, Hoping someone can help me find where I can purchase the midnight edition grille. I have been searching for GM part # 23488054 - but everything I find says "Discontinued Part. No Longer Available For Purchase." Any ideas? Thanks!!
  11. Hello, I'm looking for anyone who is interested in trading me their Black bumper or grille or both for my Chrome pieces. I currently have a 2017 Silver Silverado LT with pristine chrome grill and bumper and would like to switch out for Black Pieces. Want to try to get a 2019 Trail Boss look.
  12. Hey Guys, I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 and have been looking for an aggressive and mean looking aftermarket grille but can't really seem to find anything anywhere. I have searched the forum aswell but did not find anything. Do you guys have any recommendation for particular brands or any websites? As well are there any recommendations for other mods? My truck is fairly stock and just been looking to change it up a bit without breaking the bank! Anything would help, Thanks
  13. Selling my 2014-2015 Blacked Out OEM Silverado Grille & Bowtie. $250 OBO
  14. Hello, I’m new to this forum so I’m not sure if this question has ever been posted? I have been looking all over the internet but just can’t seem to find an answer? I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 Custom And I was wondering if it’s possible to swap my grille to a Z71 grille? I’m not sure if the Z71 grille is a different shape then my front end? I’m not a big fan of the black honeycomb look being that I’m going for a more sleek all white look. (Need to paint doors and mirror caps) If I can’t swap grills does anyone know where I can buy the grille insterts from a z71 grille? first 2 pictures are of my truck and second is a picture of the Z71 grille I want.
  15. Does anyone know the torque specs on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 headlight assembly and grill assembly. I replaced them both and wondering if their are torque specs on them. I couldn't find any online. I assume I just torque them to a tight fit. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. https://www.ebay.com/itm/273226034501?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649 Selling my brand new track grill still in the box if anyone is interested. This custom made grille is an exceptional eye catcher that will be sure to get you many looks, stares, and compliments. The grill has the word duramax in it, therefore it more so compliments the Diesel engine. Grille is brand new, still in the box. Also comes with 2 light bars already installed; with wiring harness.

  18. I have a matte black grille with black mesh for sale. I purchased this to swap out the black mesh with my chrome on my 2014 but this mesh does not unclip. It is one whole piece. Asking $80 and buyer pays for shipping. Please PM if interested or would like more pics! P/N listed on back of grill: 22757227 LTZ 22757223 WT1 23164154 WT2 EDIT: Dropped price!!!!
  19. New to the forum. Just bought my first Chevy in over 15 years and absolutely love it! I have a 2017 Black Silverado, Double Cab, LTZ, Z71, 6.5' bed. I am in the process of Chrome deleting/covering. After purchasing the truck I have made the following changes: Swapped 20" chrome for 22" Tahoe style black. wheels, mud flaps, black mirror covers, black door handle covers, black tailgate handle covers, swapped factory chrome window moldings for black, and Bestop tri-fold cover. I really like the all black look, but I want to stick with the gloss black, not matte. I still want to replace the antenna, the front grille assembly with Midnight Edition or something similar (no chrome) and change out the chrome "skid plate" on the lower front bumper with black. I am looking for help with a couple of things: A part number or source for the grille and skidplate. I have seen a couple of numbers for the grill but they all seem to be discontinued and I cannot find any info at all on a black skid plate for the lower bumper. Anyone who is interested in a chrome/black parts swap. I have the original chrome window moldings that I would like to sell Thanks and look forward to being a Chevy owner for a long time to come!
  20. Hey guys I'm looking to buy a 2016+ LTZ grille. I have found a few part numbers for it with no help as far as it saying it is discontinued. As we all know it is still produced on 17 MY trucks, so I can just assume that it has an updated number. I'm checking the forums first before I go to the dealer looking for one. Yes I'm aware of the classified section but I'm new here and don't have 50 post - sorry guys. If you or anyone you know has one that might want to sell it let me know! Thanks, Chris
  21. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra All-Terrain X and would love to switch the stock grille out to a black honeycomb style like the Denali. Problem is...I can't find them anywhere. The Denali replacement grilles I've found state that they do not fit the Sierra. Then I can find them to fit the '14 and the '15 Sierras, but not the '16 or '17. Am I missing something here??? Thanks!
  22. Selling the Z71 grille and headlights from my 2015 Silverado. Excellent condition. On truck for less than a year. The grille is selling for more than $300 on eBay but I'd like to try and sell locally. I'm in Eastern CT. Headlights: $200 Grille: $200
  23. I just bought a 2500HD Duramax back in December and I want to replace the piece between the headlights, (not the main grille just the insert). I would like to get a painted black one, given that is what color my truck is. The plastic one is all faded and nasty looking. Anyone have any suggestions as far as official name and places to look? Thanks
  24. Hey guys, I am new to the forum and I just bought my first truck. 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT All-Terrain! The guy that had the truck before me put it on a leveling kit, some rancho shocks, tinted windows... It looks sharp... Only thing I don't like is that he had the GMC logo/emblems on the front grille and rear tailgate powder-coated a dark grey color (matches the Iridium exterior of the truck)... I know a lot of people like this, but I would prefer to have just the traditional red emblems.... Would anyone like to trade?
