Hey crew! As many of you know, I've been hard at work on these HMI's for about 9 months now ever since I purchased my GMC Sierra last summer. I have since started programming modules for many of you right here on these forums and I could not be more grateful for all of your support and kind words. A feature that has been requested from me many times over has been custom boot animations/logos/sounds and I am very happy to announce that after a lot of research and many nights of testing and programming I have finally achieved this task! Please see the video below for a small demonstration. If any of you are interested in getting this done to your vehicle equipped with a 2.5 HMI please send me a PM and we can discuss this upgrade! Also, Please post ANY programming requests you'd like done on your truck and I'll do my best to make it a reality. P.S. - This is just the beginning, there's lots more to come. Stay tuned... -Mag

Hey guys, I am new to the forum and I just bought my first truck. 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT All-Terrain! The guy that had the truck before me put it on a leveling kit, some rancho shocks, tinted windows... It looks sharp... Only thing I don't like is that he had the GMC logo/emblems on the front grille and rear tailgate powder-coated a dark grey color (matches the Iridium exterior of the truck)... I know a lot of people like this, but I would prefer to have just the traditional red emblems.... Would anyone like to trade?

Vinyl overlay ended up having problems. Swapped the front bowtie when I added the flags to the rear. -
I couldn't find pictures of the Texas Edition listed on Chevrolet's website anywhere but it lists it as a $1,995 option that says it includes: Texas Edition badging Chrome mirror caps and chrome door handles with LTZ trim Trailering Package, locking differential and 20" polished-aluminum wheels on LT models 20" chrome wheels and Bose® Sound speakers on LTZ models I have the LTZ model with everything it mentions but lacking the badging because I both lease and drive it in NY and to the best of my knowledge it's an option only avilable if delivered in Texas. I thought it would be a cheap add on to separate mine from others around here without doing anything crazy that would affect my lease terms. There are sellers on eBay and Amazon selling them. Since I have all the equipment anyway, why not? The 2015 Texas Edition's removes 'S I L V E R A D O' from the front driver and passenger side door and replaces it with the emblem. The 2014's have both the Texas edition logo and Silverado spelled out. I think I'd do the 2014 setup so it's an easy remove if I decide not to buyout at the end of my lease and the dealership gives me any crap about it. Does anyone know the proper placement/measurements of where it's to be placed? I can't find a good close up picture. I would want it to look as authentic as possible if I decide to do it.

I thought you guys might like to see Cadillac's new Crest and a little more about the history of it. Cadillac Crest Evolves to Reflect Brand Growth Change follows brand’s product-driven renaissance DETROIT – Cadillac is introducing an evolution of the historic Cadillac Crest, a revision in synch with new products such as the award-winning 2014 CTS and 2015 ATS Coupe. The new Cadillac Crest will begin appearing on vehicles in the second half of 2014. The unmistakable Cadillac Crest has a heritage of evolution, marking new eras. Cadillac’s product and design advances are moving the brand forward. The Cadillac Crest evolves now to reflect this growth, just as it has for more than 111 years. Sleeker and streamlined, the revised Crest first appeared on the Elmiraj concept in 2013. “The Crest remains a consistent symbol of Cadillac and our core values,” said Andrew Smith, Cadillac executive design director. “This new Crest matches the lower, longer, leaner mantra of our current car designs, and reflects the evolution of our Art and Science philosophy.” Accompanied over the years by a crown, chevron or laurel wreath, the Crest has been the central aspect of Cadillac heraldry throughout the brand’s history. It was last revised in 1999. The latest update sharpens the focus on the Crest. Cadillac’s characteristic script lettering remains. “Our goal was to evolve the emblem design to integrate with the new vehicle form while maintaining the core graphic elements that preserve its strong brand recognition,” Smith said. “This resulted in retaining the iconic ‘crest’ shape and color palette with geometric grid from the original Cadillac family ‘coat of arms.’” The update to the Crest occurs amid significant growth for the brand. Cadillac is the fastest-growing full-line luxury auto brand, building on a 22-percent sales increase in the U.S. in 2013. This month marks the U.S. debut of the ELR, an electrified luxury coupe featuring 340 miles of driving range. Later in 2014, Cadillac will launch the next-generation Escalade luxury SUV and the 2015 ATS Coupe.

So I've been thinking about painting the red GMC emblem black to match the truck but read somewhere it's a real PITA to remove the emblem, so I've been thinking of alternatives. Anyways I found some "carbon fibre" sort of looking vinyl wrap and thought I would try it out. For $15 if it doesn't work then oh well.... I think it turned out pretty good, only took about 1/2 hour to do too. Here's the pics. And a pic with my little helper.
