  1. Hey all, I installed the OEM black GMC letters on my AT4 this weekend and thought I would pass this shortcut along. If you don't mind being a bit destructive and want to take the easy route - just pry the red insert off of the factory emblems and it exposes the retaining clips. Insert a screw driver and they pop right off. No grill removal required. I had one or two tangs that didn't immediately snap back in on the new emblems. apply a bit of pressure to the grill tab with either your finger or a flat blade screw driver from behind until it clicks. You are good to go.
  2. So. I saw this on Instagram for anybody wanting to do something like this. They said they fabricated a thin piece of metal and painted it and then stuck it behind the grill center. Think it makes the truck look 10 times better. I’m gonna give it a shot and I’ll document the process for anybody interested. Believe I’m gonna go with red on mine
  3. 2016-2018 GMC Sierra Elevation grille that's been professionally painted black. This is a brand new OEM grille. I bought it from a member on here, but also decided to go with a different grille. The grille itself looks fantastic, the only reason for going with another grille is I have seen another truck identical to mine with the same grille, and I want to have something different... $500 shipped. Only asking what I paid for it. Current location: 54016 Thanks!
  4. **SOLD** 2016-2018 GMC Sierra Elevation grille that's been professionally painted black. This is a brand new OEM grille. I ordered it and decided to go with a different style grille, absolutely nothing wrong with this grille. Shipping to continental US is free, local pick-up near St Louis MO. Price is $500.
  5. Not a big fan of chrome and swapped the back bumper with a black bumper off another truck and also ordered some black vinyl and ONE of my many zillions of my projects was to put it over the front bumper and grill. Since I had the grill off for my new black headlight assemblies I figured I would put one strip on to see how it looks and I like it a lot. I plan on doing all of the smaller strips of the grill as well but this was just a starter to get an idea of how it would come out. Very curious if anyone else has done this or thought of this as I think it’s a great alternative and option to painting it! Actually I’m thinking now I’m just doing the top middle and bottom and leave in the small chrome strips in between.
  6. I picked up a new 2015 3500HD and the lower grill or lack of one is huge. Already bugs and crap in there. Looking for some sort of grill for it. anyone seen any?
  7. Does anyone happen to have a recommendation on where I could take my truck to get the grille and bottom chrome (skid plate cover?) piece painted in the Houston area? I am looking to get my grille surround color-matched to my stock color (Mineral Metallic) as well as the mesh/honeycomb of the grille and the lower chrome piece both painted a satin black. I am hoping I can find a shop that can remove, paint, clear-coat and reinstall these pieces for a reasonable price. I also have the paint code (WA433B/GJB), so I could source the paint myself if it were to make it any cheaper. Does anyone happen to know how much of the Mineral Metallic paint it would take to paint the grille surround, and maybe the lower door mouldings as well?? I'm looking to do something similar to the picture of the red truck, however instead of color-matching the lower piece, I believe I'd go satin black with that as well. Thanks!
  8. OK, I come from a GM family and have owned many GM vehicles. I just bought a GMC Sierra 1500 Crew STL2 over a Denali in January. Now I like chrome but does anyone else think GMC goes overboard on the Denali chrome grills in their vehicles? I feel like they are just trying to out chrome everyone else. It's almost like, "hey, look at all this chrome. I'm a Denali. I'm expensive!" I may be biased but personally believe the STL grill is more subtle and stylish. My STL has the premium package with most of the same options as a Denali as well.
  9. Selling my 2014-2015 Blacked Out OEM Silverado Grille & Bowtie. $250 OBO
  10. Does anyone know the torque specs on a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 headlight assembly and grill assembly. I replaced them both and wondering if their are torque specs on them. I couldn't find any online. I assume I just torque them to a tight fit. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 LT Z71. On the factory grill, there are three gloss black "grill bars" that appear to be separate pieces from the flat black grill inserts. On the 2017 LTZ Z71, these three bars are chrome plated. I think that is a nice way to add just enough chrome to the grill to really make it pop, so to speak. Since I have not had the gril off of the truck, I am not sure how the gloss black grill bars are fastened on. Is there a way to remove them and replace them with the chrome versions? And if so, how would I obtain the chrome replacements without buying a complete LTZ Z71 grill from GM? Just for reference, here is a picture of my grill: And here is a picture of a LTZ Z71 grill. This is the look I am trying to achieve: I would really appreciate any input. Thanks
  12. I know a lot of people are running black rims on white trucks and blacked out black trucks and color matching etc. I decided to go old school chrome (lux) look. I made this happen on the front end by swapping out my black front bumper skid shield with the denali chrome one. I also as some of you may know, whited out my badges with reflective vinyle (see profile pic) and decided on chrome rims, exception, these rims are powder coated and flashed for the exact same look as chrome except they clean up just like paint. soap and water and wax. So this may not be for all but it takes me back a bit while still be modern. By the way, to remove this and replace. off comes the under grill molding, the radiator shroud, the front grill, the front bumper, remove both bumper backing plates remove and replace skid plate. i followed these instructions... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-do4lHsbydM

  14. I have a 2016 GMC Sierra All-Terrain X and would love to switch the stock grille out to a black honeycomb style like the Denali. Problem is...I can't find them anywhere. The Denali replacement grilles I've found state that they do not fit the Sierra. Then I can find them to fit the '14 and the '15 Sierras, but not the '16 or '17. Am I missing something here??? Thanks!
  15. Hello everyone, Looking to add a light bar or other accessory behind the grill of your truck? For those of you with a 2014 or 2015 Silverado or Sierra, this is for you: I have for sale a set of billet aluminum mounting brackets that attaches to the supports behind the grill. The mounting hole is threaded 1/4-20, all parts are black anodized aluminum and unlike the picture will include stainless fasteners (no rust). I've been running a set for some time now and it works great. No drilling, welding or trying to zip-tie stuff on. Bolt on the bracket and you have a standard 1/4" thread to work with. If you remove the brackets, there is no trace anything was ever there. If you are interested in the brackets please PM me, I accept PayPal, $150 + $20 shipping anywhere in US and Canada. Note: In the picture below, the bracket I am referring to is the square block attached to the angled support. The other piece between my light and the block is not included. Thanks

  21. I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado LT and I'm not happy with the way the grill looks. I really like the 2014,2015 Grills so I'm trying to find out what I can do about it any ideas ?
  22. Has anyone taken apart a 14-15 Chevy headlight before? Im curious about the black plastic piece that divides the chrome from the high beam housing and low beam housing. Has anyone attempted to remove this piece? And successfully reapplied it with breaking anything? My goal is to fabricate a piece integrated with a LED light strip similar to the 16 headlight look. Thanks in advance
  23. I had someone tell me a while back that there is a company who makes the style of a 07-13 grill, the way the headlights sit on top of each other instead of a gap, that would fit a 99-06 body style. I've been looking for one for about a month. Has anyone else heard of this?
