Hey everyone, thanks for the add! Got myself a 2016 Canyon SLE. I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas about something I've been looking through forums for before going to a shop. I was driving it to lunch and as I was turning, it completely stalled out on me. Battery was still on but no acceleration as if the engine cut off yet no indicators popped up on the dash. I quickly threw it in park, turned it off completely and restarted it no problem and its still driving smooth with no other issues. There anyone with the same problem before or ideas of what it might be?

Hey everyone, I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. I bought it in April of last year and it has been miserable. I visited the dealership more times than i can count and some problems still are happening. The main problem is my truck shutting off. In Early September, I noticed as i was driving my radio would go black, then as i would tap my breaks everything would shut off and turn back on. As this happens, the stabilitrak light comes on, my truck stalls (sometimes) steering wheel locks and starts shaking. Now this happens everyday when i drive it. Go to the dealership they say it is a corroded wire, they take care of it and send me on my way. December of 2019 my truck starts doing the EXACT same thing, except now i can't even do anything but shift my truck into park and restart it, every small touch on the brake shuts my truck off. Now i live in the mountains, and we have a lot of hills. Imagine driving a blacked out truck in the middle of the night on a hilly road with no lights and your truck completely cuts out. It was sketchy. I go to the dealership, ONCE again. They replaced a WHEEL BEARING. Saying it caused the issue. tf... To my surprise the truck has been fine. Fast track to June, present day. Drive my truck for a half hour or more, the problem is back. Now i am pissed. My boyfriend and myself do research and we found a youtube video about GM trucks and problems with G218. All the exact problems to a T! i brought it to the dealership this morning, they refuse to do anything until the truck signals any of these problems. Instead of popping open the dashboard to even just look. It has been 6 hours and now they are keeping it overnight. 40 minutes from where i live.. I am pissed. I did my homework and presented it to them, thought they had listened but apparently not. From how it seems, i am not the only problem having this issue with 2014+ older GM trucks. Everyone keeps saying this needs to be a recall but the dealerships WILL NOT listen. I know people on this forum who have spent thousands on diagnosis's for their trucks to just have them messed around with. Anyone else having this issue? I would love for my boyfriend to just fix it but then it voids my warranty. How the hell do we get GM to acknowledge this and make it a recall. I am by far not the only person having this issue.

Got in my truck one morning, instantly started acting like it was out of gas, backfiring, loud as hell, weird gas smell, stalling out, then ultimately not starting at all. I've replaced: spark plugs and throttle position sensor and changed the oil. The shop replaced: Crankshaft position sensor, battery, terminals, fuel pump, replaced and or reprogrammed the ECM. Now they are saying it's the timing. I'm at my wit's end with this truck I'm not convinced it's the timing considering he's been wrong on everything else. I'd like to think it's fuel related, but to be honest I'm totally clueless as to what's going on at this point.

19 Silverado TrailBoss V6: Several times now the truck stalled out when in park and idling. I try to restart and it turns over but won't start, take the key out and try again a couple minutes later and it works but the check engine light is on. Prior to this starting, last week while driving 60mph on highway the truck shuddered/shook a few times and the check engine light came on. OBD reads out P16AF & P16A7 as the error codes. Dealership said they ordered a new part...anyone having issues like this? Also, still no fix on the backup camera glitching out. Someone is gonna get hurt and GM has been made aware and I filed it with NHTSA. No fix yet...

Hello there, I am having issues with my truck. It is a 2003 silverado 2500HD 4x4 LT with a 6.0L V8 gas engine and 180,000 miles. Aftermarket components on the truck are a K&N cold air intake, Hypertech max energy power programmer, a 2.5" leveling kit, and 33" tires. It started with the truck randomly stalling when switching to reverse gear when parking, and started back up no problem. This has occurred atleast 4 times and does not happen every time. Another issue that is happening is that when at stops and starting to gain speed, at around 5-10 mph, the truck stutters and has a hard time gaining torque and shifting. I have zero issues at medium to high speeds and it shifts fine but it seems to not like going between gears 1-2 it has issues. I have no lights on the dash and the temperatures are at normal ranges. I have had people suggest that it could be a fuel pump problem and also heard it could be the torque converter. Has anyone had similar issues or know what they would suggest might be the problem or need more information from me please respond.

hi, i have a 97 chevy c1500 4.3 vortex v6 that was given to me. It had sat for about a year and a half before i picked it up. When i received it i put a new fuel pump and filter cleaned out the gas tank. It ran fine for 2 or 3 days and i drove 45 miles and it run fine. one day i drove it about 20 miles and it stalled, immediately when it started it would go then cut out again you couldn't go 50 ft without it losing power. The next day i changed the tps then cleaned the aic helped slightly but not much. Well come to find out my catalytic converter was blowing out honeycomb so we replaced it with a muffler since the real muffler had been cut (and no not directly under the truck we piped it out then put the muffler under the bed). It will idle but still wont run correctly i have heard there might be 2 fuel filters i will check that tomorrow. i will also ohm the 02 sensors to make sure the are working properly but they appear to be fine. Can anyone help me?
