I have a 2020 RST with the 3.0 LM2 Duramax with 79k miles… the flywheel failed when I was driving down the highway and left me dead in the water.. I had it towed to the dealership 4 weeks ago and they called today and said the transmission and the engine needs to be replaced. Has anyone experienced this with their trucks? I never towed anything heavy and was religious with service.. luckily all covered under the 100k powertrain warranty… -
Does GM have any comments about the many problems with the 2007-2008 acadias experiencing transmission failure due to faulty wave plates? I have a 2008 Acadia that is at the dealership getting a new transmission for $5000. This car is just 6 years old and has under 80,000 miles. This is after spending $1000 in January to finally get the passenger air bag sensor fixed. The sensor was part of a recall however I needed a new module kit that was not part of the recall. Not going to lie here but I am fed up with this car and GM. We have owned cars with over 200,000 miles and never had the transmission problems. This is a problem that many, many owners have stated.
