  1. Good afternoon. I am experiencing weird issues with my rear power windows on both drive and passenger side. both rear windows will roll down, but not up with their own window switch in the back doors. i can (intermittently) roll them up with the master switch on driver door. the other day, i couldn't roll the passenger rear up at all. i ended up opening and closing the rear door, then i could roll the window up. any ideas on what i should start looking for? Appreciate any help. thank you 2011 Silverado 1500 4X4, 5.3L 100k miles
  2. I have a 2009 Avalanche, both rear windows wont operate with the front or individual switches. I replaced the main driver side switch with no success, I checked all the wires and fuse box on driver side. Any ideas?
  3. Hi, I have 2 questions. One, I want to do the HD Front end conversion on my 2007 NNBS Silverado1500. I know what I need, and I have decided on the 2011-2013 HD grill and bumper. I have gone on line and seen some people go with the 2007-2010 HD hood and some people go with the 2011-2013 HD hood. Would any one know the difference or if one fits better onto the 1500 truck? And does anyone know how to install the bumper? And the second question was, How can I convert the truck into full electric mode? I have manual windows and no power locks. My truck is extended cab and I would wish for the back windows to work as well. Or does anyone have a really good video on what parts I need and how to do it step by step? I am by no means a mechanic but i do work on my trucks here and there on small things. Thanks in advanced!
  4. Hi everyone, just curious to know if someone else have this problem: I'm driving a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500, Crew Cab, 4WD. I have notice that, in a few occasions, I found the passenger rear windows half open in the morning. I thought that it was the remote starter, but I have the Remote Starter Windows option disconnected on Settings and this option, if activated, will open all windows, not just the passenger rear windows. I was wondering if it is related with the swinging weather (overnight with minus something, day with plus something), Any idea or someone that experienced this? Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks
  5. Well today while driving down the highway without warning my drivers side window decided to explode for no apparent reason. There was no traffic passing me or passing by in the oncoming lane. The only other vehicle was another car behind me about 75ft or so. Anyone else had this happen please share.
  6. I apologize, I'm 56 years old and not sure to the dynamics or protocol of a form. I have a 2017 Silverado and discovered today that it is possible to roll down all the windows from the key fob. I regularly in the summer park my car with the windows cracked an 1" to 4"s to help let the heat in the car vent out. I'm surprised that cars don't have the feature to leave the windows cracked and as soon as the car detects rain falling automatically rolling up the windows without the owner needing to do anything. My question, Is there away to roll up the windows by app or key fob if I see it start raining?
  7. I've had my truck since March and have had the window vent shades that are sold on gm's site. Anyone else have a problem with the automatic windows from them? If it's super hot out the rubber seal is soft enough the window will stay closed but if it not the auto window goes straight back down. Just a pain not being able to use the auto feature.
  8. Hello all Not new to the form but I don't post much. But I do have a question on my 2004 sierra GMC 4.3 base model no power opts. My son has the same year make and model truck but his is full power opts. The motor blow in his and he's going to part it out but told me if I wanted power locks windows and mirrors that I could take the whole door and switch them with mine. To me that sounds cool but will it work like that? Do I need the fuse box from his truck or does mine have it but just not in use because I don't have those opts. Any help would be nice. Thank you
  9. Both drivers side and passenger side windows will not go up or down. We looked at the fuse/relay which is on the left hand side of the drivers area. The rely/fuse is a silver rectangle two prong fuse. When he turns the key on it gets very hot. We verified that the electric motors work by removing the switches on the door panels and jumping the wires. I am assuming there is a short somewhere, the question is where? Anyone have this same problem? If so how did you accomplish the fix?
  10. Question. Is the drivers side window the only window that has power up? They all have power down but only my drivers door has power up. Pretty lame if that is the case.
  11. I have a 2007 Silverado crew cab and suddenly without any previous problem the windows will not work. The passenger front window works only from the front passenger door and not from the driver's door all other options of window control are inoperative. No window control from the driver's door or either rear passenger door's. Have checked the MBEC and the LBEC fuse's and they are good. Also checked the window fuse inside the cab and it was good. Also checked all four window circuit breakers and they are good. Any help would be appreciated.
  12. For folks with the older Blazers with vent windows, has anyone replaced their seals around the glass yet? It doesn't look very complicated, but I know a couple guys who have done this, and then as soon as they open and close their windows for the first time, there are permanent leak spots (annoying air sounds and little water coming through in car washes). Mine is totally due to replace - it sounds so loud when driving down the road - real bad over 55mph, lol! I almost want to replace the seals, shut the windows, and weld the latch shut so none of my friends or family ever accidentally open them again and mess up the seals. I don't drive an 88 because it's a quiet ride but this has been the bane of driving it, now for 6 years. Let me know your experiences if you have any.
  13. Hey guys! Can someone post a wiring diagram of the rear power windows on a 2003 Trailblazer? Both my rear windows stopped working suddenly from any switch. Both front windows operate normally. The rear windows don't even click when switch is pressed on their respective doors or on the driver's controls. My understanding is the BCM controls the rear door windows. I would like to see if there is any common wiring points to both doors that may cause this failure. All fuses have been check and power locks still work find on all doors. Thanks!
