  1. Well this is the new ride. Have put about 1k miles on it and have to say it's awesome. Been great having the crew cab and the power of the 6.4. Also nice still have about 3k of payload left even with my loaded gang box.
  2. If you curl the bucket in you should be able to pull the tractor forward about a foot or more which will make a huge difference.
  3. Traded it in on a 2017 ram 2500 crewcab with the 6.4. Got a deal I couldn't say no too.
  4. Looks good nothing better than a camp off the grid
  5. Why do you think my father bought a new Ram and not a Chevy. Lol
  6. Did the inner tube between the leaf spring fix today. Went up North this past weekend and after driving around 50 miles of logging roads sounded like my rear end was going to fall off. Was kinda embarrassing my buddy's tundra was quite as a church mouse.
  7. Really been giving the truck some attention this weekend. Cleaned the windows this morning and thought to myself I should grease the tie rod ends. Happy I did because one of the sway bar end links was completely broken. So just installed 2 nice new Moog ones.
  8. Ok that's where I have mine at now. Started at 55 but that was too high the handling of the truck felt odd.
  9. Ryan what do you ran your LT tires at for psi? Been messing with my new tires trying to find the right pressure
  10. Waxed it for the first time in 4 years.
  11. But it seems to work for GM. They have a large group of fan boys who are convinced otherwise that it's ok. That's fine with me because there are other options.
  12. The 6.2 is not the end all be all. I refuse to buy a truck with an engine that requires me buying such a high trim package. I can't get a 6.2 in the truck I would buy.
  13. Drove my father's brand new 2017 ram 1500. Iam 100% convinced now my next truck will be a Ram. That 8 speed shifted so smooth you didn't even know. Also unlike any gm i have driven lately mashing the gas the truck actually throws you back in the seat and goes.
  14. Put 4 new tires on the truck. Got Yokohama Geolander AT g015. Upgraded to LT tires also handling is different but nice. Much firmer ride.
  15. Drove up to white mountains with my father in my truck to do some stream fishing for trout. Truck averaged 16.7 so iam happy with that. Been getting better mileage running 89 octane. Came home with 6 trout so there will be some good eating. Kstruckcountry I agree with you and now plan on getting LT tires this time. Was driving on dirt roads for the better part of the day and couldn't help but think some LT tires would add some piece of mind.
  16. Ohh man he really chewed that up. How much for the replacement?
  17. New air filter. On the fence about new tires. Should I get LT rated or not. Truck is only a 1500, but I carry a gang box in the bed with all my tools for work and drive at jobsites and occasionally tow around 4k. I am just worried the added weight of the tires will make the truck feel slower.
  18. Cleaned the condenser in my truck with some coil cleaner. AC is working much better now.
  19. Changed the oil in my wife's equinox and fixed my window switches so they work now. Just had to clean the contacts.
  20. Changed the front diff fluid and transfer case fluid. The front diff fluid didn't look that bad for having about 50k miles on it. Did it the first time around 48k.
  21. Marked holes in my bed to drill to bolt my gang box down with.
  22. Never mind that GM barely even painted between the bedsides.
  23. See a lot around with rotted bed sides. They rust from the inside out. I know mine has rust inside the fender I just keep oiling it.
  24. I didn't have flaps on mine for one winter in New England and boy did the paint get chowdered up behind the tires. Flaps will be on all my trucks.
  25. Oil change, tire rotation, and grease job.
