i hate manufacturing with a passion, but its hard to get out of it when no other place will match your pay. I just wish my school would have informed us a bit more on trades rather than preparing for college. Not everything in college goes somewhere... I wasted 10 grand only to get nowhere when I could have invested that in a trade school or something.

SarahsGMC replied to Stockredsierra's topic in Vehicle Buildsoh wow theres no way I could live there then, that sucks. I can see why you went that route then.
it goes off because someone manually unlocked it from inside while its supposed to be closed up and locked. ive done it on accident while my window was down and used my fob to shut it off
PB Blaster on those bolts overnight and again the next day and turn with a long wrench or cheater bar very very carefully, if I remember right 4 turns right is an inch of height, wheels must be off the ground. Those bolts are prone to breaking if they haven't been moved in a while or old ask me how I know lol. I would do 2 turns evenly each side drop it down measure floor to middle of inner fender and adjust again as needed. EDIT- missed the post where you already did it but yea lmao
SarahsGMC replied to Stockredsierra's topic in Vehicle Buildslevels are useless imo just put a small suspension lift on. Your truck is gorgeous by the way.
Did a real oil change finally on the 86 its been months since I did a real oil change aside from adding used oil to it because of the leaks. Cleaned the carb up best I could without taking it off, and gave it some Rotella 15/w40 and STP oil treatment with stop leak. Heavier oil mixed with stop leak should help a little with the oil loss, we will see. Once Red comes back from the shop I want to tear that carb out and rebuild it. Washed it as well and also grabbed some gumout for the fuel system and carb but need to run down the tank a bit before I add it. forgot I also installed dennys headlights on his duramax, he loves them
