    I had terrible luck with my AVS ventshades too. They just don't stay on long. I've had AVS ventshades on all my previous trucks and have never had a problem until this 2014 model. I think AVS just got these wrong for some reason. I'm going to give the Putco brand in-channel visors a try next.

    My crew cab Z71 short bed has the aluminum arms. LT 2LT 4x4 5.3L 3.42 made in Mexico. Sounds like you got whatever they had on hand at the plant the day your truck was assembled.
