Posted 04 January 2014 - 11:20 AM This is probably getting ahead of myself, but wouldn't these be great if they automatically lowered when you press the unlock key on your keyfob? I already have underside mirror lighting for night lumination and think if those auto deployed with the unlock key would be sweet. Matter of just integrating/combing the deploy sequence with the mirror light/+12v of some sort probably. Anybody else think that would be a neat feature? If you tie in to the dome light wire(grey wire in "a" pillar harness drivers side , you can do this. I had to use a relay to switch the polarity to ground. you only have to run one wire from passenger and one from drivers to the relay. they drop and light illuminate when hitting unlock. you lock the vehicle with remote and it raises them. The only drawback is that they stay down until the delay timer goes off(unless hitting the door lock on the remote). won't drop when turning on dome lights either
