    I rewired mine Saturday to this method, works great. I think the lock will last longer using this method. Thanks

    Correct, mine just takes a little click to the left or right to lock or unlock.

    Installed mine yesterday on my 14 Silverado. Thanks for the write up, instructions and pictures were quite helpful. I followed the original instructions posted and had no trouble at all, worked first time. Thanks again
