  1. Bart, That is really good news. I will pursue this.course of action. It’s such a shame that a sack of crap corporation that we all bailed out with our tax dollars can get away with this BS and not own up to the problem, but I would gladly pay $750 plus a set of Michelins to fix it. Maybe not “gladly”, I will have a piece of someone’s ass before it’s over , and will definitely scare off a few potential buyers, but at least I may be able to enjoy driving a good looking truck .
  2. Taps, I feel your pain. Traded ina 2015 Silverado Crew Cab LT Z71 with some annoying vibes that were partially fixed by replacing two tires and 2 shocks and road force balance at 1500 miles. Got sucked in to the tremendous discounts on a 2018 GMC Sierra SLT Premium with 8 speed transmission. Was delighted for first 500 miles, felt solid, smooth, more like a car. Started vibes on interstate at 70-80, they replaced 2 tires and road force balanced. Tolerable for a few hundred miles. Now with 3,500 this thing is awful. Moderate acceleration between 35 and 50, especially uphill, feels like it’s engine missing or slipping transmission, also bounces. I could go on and on, but I am seriously disappointed. I will be taking back to dealer when convenient, but I just don’t have time for this nonsense. I know, shame on me for my stupidity for confronting another GM truck, but I will say it was a great ride for the first 500 miles, and the best looking of any on the road. Its amazing in this day and time that any major manufacturer can engineer and build such a fickle, schizophrenic, unpredictable product.
  3. I own a schizophrenic 2015 Silverado 1500 4x4 Z71 Crew Cab. Bought new in October, 2015. First 300 miles I thought I was driving a Cadillac. Then hit 76 mph on the interstate and got the shakes, bad. At 1600 miles dealer replaced 2 tires and 2 shocks, RFBd the wheels/tires and things got much better, in particular the 75-80 mph highway vibe. Now have 9000 miles and intermittent vibrations/shakes/jiggles anywhere, anytime/ any speed / any road surface. And sometimes the gear shifts feel like an old first generation auto transmission from 50 years ago. Went to dealer, drove a 2016,and 2017. Unfortunately I feel the same underlying shimmy/jiggle at any speed, just not as severe . Cannot believe GM gets away with selling this crap. I'm done. Life is too short to dance with ugly women or drive a POS truck . And we taxpayers bailed these charlatans out. Ughh.
  4. Update to my post on Dec 30, 2015: Took the truck to my dealer in late December, they kept it a week and determined by Road Force Balancing that two tires, 1 front and 1 rear, were bad and that one rear shock was locked up. Pico showed 30+MG vibration. Replaced two tires and both rear shocks. Pico now less than 15MG. Truck had 1610 miles on odometer when I picked it up from shop. Today the odometer reads 2620 miles and the high speed vibration is still gone. I do feel a few random jiggles from time to time at various speeds, but nothing like the harsh vibrations at 75-80mph. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones.
  5. To say it is sickening to read these posts is an understatement. I bought my first truck, a new 2015 Silverado 1500 LT Crew Cab Z71 and loved it for the first few hundred miles. I could not believe that a truck could handle so well and ride so smooth. Then I took it on the Interstate and noticed a serious vibration at 77-80mph. The center console was dancing a jig, so I figured the back tires must be out of round or not properly balanced. I had only 400-500 miles on the truck, so thought the tires may need breaking in. Today, with 1,400 miles on it, not only does the truck shake between 75-80, but also at random speeds lower than that. I thought I was going crazy. I dropped it off at the dealer on 12/28 and have not heard anything yet. I found this forum Monday evening and it feels like a bad dream. I have driven nothing but BMWs for the last 11years and am not familiar with vibrations like I am feeling with the truck. I am hopeful that the dealer can fix this, but very apprehensive. I will keep you all posted as to my progress. Fortunately Virginia has a Lemon Law and you can bet if the problem cannot be fixed, I will test it.
