I have to ask permission from Lion before I take my boat out.
  5. Well, id like to fix it, but i had a nightmare experience the lasr time i took it in... They dented the hell out of my truck both inside and out, and were completely slack on many other things. As a result they had my truck 50+ days. I love my truck otherwise but i doubt i will ever purchase a chevy again after having these experiences.
  6. I had the same problems under the same conditions. Had the dealer retorque the rear leave springs after pulling almost all of their teeth. It mostly solved the issue... Mostly...
  7. Surprise, surprise. The dealer is claiming that the noise is "normal" and will not be making any repairs, even after the tech rode with me and stated that it was indeed NOT normal. Needless to say I'll be complaining lol... and it looks like I'll be strapping that valve down in the meantime.
  8. I believe I found the thread that you are talking about. A lot of the guys are saying that they are either cutting it out when they get a new exhaust or simply clamping the valve open. Hopefully the new exhaust will fix that annoying squeak... if not I might just clamp it down until I cut it out.
  9. Great, thanks Armyman22. I am half expecting the dealer to tell me that they "could not replicate the issue." If that is the case I'll bring this information to their attention and ensure that the part gets replaced.
  10. Mine is currently in the shop for this problem, both the chirping from v4 to v8, and the ticking noise. I couldn't replicate the ticking noise when the dealer rode with me, but the tech heard the v4 to v8 chirp and said that it was "not normal." I should be hearing from them soon. I'll keep everyone posted. As for my "ticking" noise, I haven't heard it for too long, as I brought it into the shop only two days after I heard it. The ticking is intermittent, and only really noticeable when I drive by a wall, or sitting in the drive-through. We did a little of our own troubleshooting, and found that it is coming somewhere from the engine compartment, and is inconsistent in frequency.
