  1. That panel SHOULD just clip on
  2. I have the integrated trailer brake so that wasn't an option for me...lol I initially had mine ran through the firewall and it was definitely NOT easy....then when it caught fire and started melting, I didn't know if I could trust it so I left it in the door...at least for now. Rock lights are my next thing, trying to come up with a handy solution of having all of those wires going to one switch will probably be the death of me lol
  3. I extended the wiring to the switch to have it reach. Relay is mounted on the fender wall over by the master cylinder and then the wiring is extended right at about the A post, really not much of a big deal. I had to use the 90 degree female blade connectors on the switch anyways so it worked out well.
  4. I used a bar similar. Ran the wiring through the door only because it caught fire when I tried to run it thru the gromet. I ran it up the A post, under the airbag and up to the center headliner panel. drilled a hole by the map light switch and mounted my switch there. Its out of the way, ppl don't "see it to play with it" and its within a convenient reach.
  5. IMHO stay away from the niilight....I have one and I'll probably be buying a better one soon enough
  6. I bolted straight to those Cross bars....no issues what so ever...don't waste your money on added steel, just get long bolts and you're fine
  7. As for the light bar, mine came with brackets, I just drilled the two 45 degree arms in front of the radiator and ran 2 bolts and 2 nuts with no issue
  8. https://www.xenonhids.com/fog-lights-h16-5202-led-headlight-kit.html These are the ones I bought. Now mind you, I have the reflector housing just like everyone else, so the light kinda goes everywhere, but they still work way better than I was expecting. Very easy install, I paid the extra money for the "cancellers" like they told me I needed. These are just capacitors for those that don't know. Well, I installed with them on and the lights did not work. I took them out of the line and everything worked great, no warnings, no flicker.
  9. That's exactly what I was thinking lol the other good news is it almost works for what I need it for. I was only wanting it to illuminate UNDER the snow so I didn't think I was flying warp speed thru star wars lol
  10. Actually....to be 100% honest with ya, I bought some Xenonhids LED fog light bulbs for the same truck, THEY put out greater light than what that niilight bar does
  11. I have this light bar on my 15 silverado....not really impressed with the amount of light. It's like it's all flood and there is zero focus to the light. I would definitely stay away from the niilight wiring harness...somewhere in this thread you will see some pics I posted where it caught fire on me!

  13. Heard back from the company. Every other word in the email was "friend" so that was pretty amusing and painful to read, however, they are sending me a new wiring harness and also sending me a set of 35 watt LED bars as well. Not quite sure what Ill do with them, but at least this company is trying to make it right from my email!!

  17. I used a relay. 12V 40A relay. It was all included with the harness. Even to the point of having a plug and play setup. 30amp fuse to the battery, thinking I need to put a fuse link on the switch line!! Sent pics over to the company and I will give them credit, they asked more if my truck was alright and if there were any damages to my truck. Not sure if that is genuine or not wanting me to say their product caused it lol.
  18. so I also bought this bar and installed it this weekend. The "heavy duty harness" that I bought with it SUCKS!!! The switch harness completely melted together and had I not have been sitting in the vehicle, the whole thing would have caught fire!!!! The power harness and the bar harness were fine, the switch line, not smuch! Emailed the company immediately.....waiting to see what they have to say.
