    Yes, you can have the OnStar data (through AT&T) active without having OnStar. This is how my Malibu has been running for a while now and will do the same to the Silverado when the trial runs out in April.

    I understand your frustration but what are you out if they swap the transmission? That way at arbitration you can say you tried everything including a new tranny and it's still an issue. In my mind it's a better option and covers your bases fully. I get it, you're frustrated as hell, but what's another week or so to be sure if you like the truck otherwise? Make them give you a sweet loaner as part of the deal.
