  1. lot of work seems like to run your own software when you could just use one of the aftermarket android or wince devices and run it from the touchscreen
  2. were you guys interested in altering the calibrations or actually installing you own software?
  3. pm me this thread was started for the open infotainment development
  4. I don't sell retail it is easy to use
  5. my part # is SGAGM404 any 12 volt shop can handle it
  6. you need a video input device not an app. $499
  7. http://electronics360.globalspec.com/article/3632/bosch-ng1-1-hmi-teardown
  8. I have all the external schematics of course, but nothing on interior. if you do a google search, you will find a teardown of the hmi and chipset details from bosch I believe
  9. I have lots of vins, but the files produced will be only the latest versions for those vehicles and I believe they are heavily encrypted. I was looking into the possibility of producing a file using a vin and then modifying the file to switch the vin to a different one as desired
  10. the calibration is updated through the mdi. software update initiated through mdi, but applied with usb. gds2 does nothing but report current conditions/software levels
  11. its not that simple. the software (allegedly open source) can be downloaded to a usb for updating a module, but I can't specially select those exact versions. We would need to find a vehicle and module combo that currently calls for those files. each group of files would be 1-3 gig approx so would need drop box or ftp
  12. what specifically?
  13. I believe that is a jtag port. I have all the tools/mdi, tis, and about 100 extra modules if you need any help.
  14. Its a little more complicated than just tapping into another wire to power on the camera. The nav gets its reverse signal on the lan bus. Therefore, you will need to invest in a Nav-tv or similar module that will add the option to switch to the camera screen when desired.
