The update is: I have tried cycling though all the 4wd and 2wd modes, it seems to be stuck in 4 Auto.
Bushleague, thanks for the reply, I haven’t had the truck in 4wd in about a week and when I did it was in 4 auto, but it wasn’t left overnight.
The issue persists, but no Chevy dealers can look at it until next week, so I’m stuck with no truck I’m feeling pretty down on the truck, the dealer and Chevy as a whole.
Hi everyone, I have a 2015 SIlverado that has about 40000 miles on it. I took it on a road trip today of about 200 miles and when I was about 5 miles from home I got a service 4wd message. I drove the whole way in 2wd as I do 95% of the time. Once I was off the highway I realized my truck was unable to make turns. Pretty much any turn of the wheel caused the truck to almost come to a grinding halt while the engine seemed to rev. I was able to force it through turns a bit but smelled a burning rubber type smell so I pulled over and parked it. Has anyone run into an issue like this or have any insight to what type of issues I could be looking at? I will of course be calling the dealer to bring it in tomorrow, but I'm wondering what I am looking at now. Thanks in advance!
