I had this same issue with my Samsung S7 when I added the Android Auto compatible radio... turns out the phone was shutting the GPS receiver off as a power saving measure - Make sure you phone is not in any kind of power saving mode (check settings- device maintenance -battery menu for power saving modes)

Big thanks to @th3magpi3 ... I've got a 2014 silverado and was able to pick up a 2.5 HMI, newer 2016 radio module and usb port assembly on ebay for under $200. Sent the modules out to him, got them back and plugged them in late last week and all works great with AA. US to Canada shipping took a little while but turnaround time was only a day or two to get them programmed to my VIN and I wasnt in a huge rush anyway. Thanks!! So far I've tried google maps and Waze navigation as well as pandora and spotify with no issues. As others have reported, no steering wheel audio controls when using AA, sounds like that requires a cluster reprogram- not a real big deal for me to leave as-is... steering wheel audio controls when playing the radio still work when using AA for navigation.

Great thread and thanks pgamboa for helping me verify contacts/pin part#' s and wiring a while back (I took apart and modified my own harnesses). I've had the power fold mirrors from AM auto installed on my truck for a few months now and like them alot! Only thing I don't like is vibration on the top glass at higher speeds, bottom glass is rock solid. Has anyone found any diy fixes for this? (Perhaps it's worse on some mirros than others) Was thinking of removing the top glass and checking everything for tightness/perhaps adding some rubber tape/rubber washers/shims somewhere if it looks like it could help....i wonder if it's the glass to the motor assembly interface or the motor assembly itself that may be loose/not isolated enough...
