  1. It's the starter. I didn't believe them at first and they don't know exactly how the starter is creating the chirping, but they said there's a noticeable reduction in the sound with a new starter. They replaced mine, and it is better but still there for about a second. Previously it would last several minutes after startup.
  2. I don't recommend them. Had the advantage plus in my '17 6.2 8 speed and ended up uninstalling it. Program was buggy and the customer service is not great. When i installed the tune the tranny shifting was firmer, and clunking disappeared at slow speeds but it eventually started coming back.
  3. I do have a catback that i installed when the truck had about 1000 miles on it. Also get a huge spike in the idle if i have it in sport mode and shift from park to drive after a cold start. Truck lunges forward hard! - but only does it once. I also noticed they are bumping the idle about 200rpm in sport mode and they definitely changed the scaling on the throttle. Going past the "click" in the pedal is just more travel but doesn't trigger a kickdown like it did stock. I really don't mind that though. If I turn the cruise on and off while sitting at a stop light my RPM's go up and down about 200. MPG on the last couple of tanks is still to the negative. The last tank i did some hypermiling for about half a tank and it brought it up to only -1, kinda defeats the purpose of the tune though. I'm going to give this tune a couple thousand more miles and then pull it out if it doesn't start to clear up.
  4. I installed the Advantage + in my 2017 6.2L. Tranny shifts nice, but i'm seeing a 2+ mpg decrease in mileage in "Eco Mode" . They advertise up to 2.4 MPG increase, which i wasn't expecting, but sure didn't expect to see a noticeable drop. This is the 5th truck i've tuned -2 from Blackbear, 1 from Livernois for my ecoboost, and 1 from HP but this is the first time i've had a tune noticeably decrease mileage on a road trip when cruising at 60. On the others I've seen a 0-1mpg increase with Blackbear doing the best. I e-mailed Trifecta for feedback but wasn't real impressed with their response. They said the MPG display is an average, yadda yadda, I explained I'm not using that display on the dash, i'm calculating based on fill ups from the same gas pump, at the same station. Their response was " Not much we can do about your hand calculations". That made me laugh. Overall it's not a bad tune, but for the money i'm going back to Blackbear on my next GM tune. I had a few bugs on a Blackbear tune several years ago and their customer service was over the top.
