  1. Ha. The other small dealer I took it to. Didn’t even have a tech.... yes a Chevy dealer that had zero techs.
  2. And more money out of my pocket to boot tooo. Might come down to that tho. This isn’t a small dealer either.
  3. Still bouncing with both acs off
  4. Was on a low setting. We are in Fl. So it was blowing hard. I could turn off ac and see what it does.
  5. So I really drove it myself today vs my wife. And at idle in park the rpm gauge is not consistent. Varies about a solid needle width. This normal?
  6. Like I said I think they screwed up something when installing new injectors. Ie bad seal, o ring or gasket....
  7. So we picked up the car on Friday. I was told that the fuel injectors they installed was bad out of the box. All the talk about carbon on cylinders and blah blah blah was just that imo. They “said” they replaced the 2 injectors they just replaced..... I find that hard to believe but.... we drove the car home and the light didn’t come on or spit or sputter at this point.
  8. These injectors sit under the intake
  9. They are soaking/ cleaning carbon off (no charge to me because I have authorized anything to be done!!) say that the 2 injectors was bad ( I wander if someone just messed up a gasket or seal and just say bad injector idk) What does this catch can do? Or do you have a link that is informative? On my phone app is kinda hard to sift thru stuff
  10. Book calls for 4.6 hours to replace 2. Gm ac delco from rock auto it like 78ish bucks each.
  11. But Gm says they don’t have injector issues...... blame it on the gas you use. Lol
  12. This is very true. And even the mechanic himself said they have injector issue. But hey this is a used car. I am 2nd owner. And I don’t know why kind of gas was used... [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]
  13. Sooo I stopped by today because I had to get something out of the car. No call just showed up. Talked to the mechanic myself.... said they have test for leak down test and it all checked out. Says that it is having a miss but not sending a code for a miss. Only a fuel trim code showing. Had to dig around. Found that the number 7 plug was gapped/smashed due to carbon build up on top of the cylinder. Said he put new plug in. Ran vehicle and they same code. When pulled new plug was back to close gapping. Said that need top of cylinders needed cleaned of carbon.
  14. O it went back same day within 5 mins. They are swip swapping parts on it now. O2 sensor. Ma flow sensor. And “think that the other 2 fuel injectors are now bad on bank one”. Because they where over working because the other 2 (1-3) was bad. Ie. They don’t have a clue!!!
  15. Had it not had a warranty or chance of recall of this “we don’t have injector issue” it wouldn’t be at the dealer.....
  16. When I took it in had light on. But slight miss with the 050 code. Now has a fuel trim with light. I only drove it about a half mile. And have if time was calling dealer don’t leave it’s coming back.
  17. Sir I have one question for you.... are you remotely near the zip 32054. Or in the south east this side of the Mississippi??? A friend just told me about you!!! Lol. My family owns a small family propane company and largely of what you said applies to me and the way I conduct our Bussiness. The only reason why I took it to the dealer was because of the powertrain warranty to 60k miles. But at this rate I have given them $1100 and still have a vehicle that had a very very small miss. To one that hardly can stay running. I am not a mechanic but very mechanically inclined and understand vehicles to a large degree. But at this point idk what to do.
  18. Yep pretty close and they don’t know what is causing the “slight miss” Keep in mind they replaced the motor mounts at 37,000 due to a tsb with misses. Imo I believe I have had a slight miss for a while/since I bought this vehicle.
  19. Posted in wrong place so I have moved it. So are new to us vehicle 2017 Suburban with the 5.3 with 39,000 miles on it. Have put a whopping 2,000 miles on it owned it for about 40 days.

Had a PO50D code and had a miss.

Took it to the dealer they say needs cylinder 1 and 3 injectors replaced. “The Chevy tech believes this will fix the code and miss” (Not covered under powertrain warranty) this seems like a common issue via google.

So do I replace all 8? (not at the dealer at this point not sure about them see above)
With new rails too. My cousins husband is a master tech and probably is going to do the job with me.

And what kind of preventive to prevent injectors going bad at 39k miles again.
I know it’s a GDI system. Took to dealer said yes 2 bad injectors 1 and 3. And also need to replace 3 fuel rails too. Went and picked up suburban and didn’t make it a half mile down road had to turn around. Now throwing fuel trim code bank 1 code. Dealer now has put a Tahoe and and started swapping parts o2 sensor. And it didn’t fix it. So put mine back on. They now think that the other 2 injectors are bad on bank 1.
  20. Sooooo finally was told by GM it’s my problem. And my bill in full. Told dealer to fix it. 2 injectors (cylinder 1 and 3) and 3 fuel rail parts. Went to go pick it up....drove a mile down the road and then throws code. Now a fuel trim code bank 1. They have reset stuff. Swapped a o2 sensor. And not “think the all injectors on bank 1 is the issue”. And this isn’t a small dealer either. But this 39,000 2017 vehicle has become a joke.
  21. The reason why it’s not covered under power train is because they KNOW sits a problem and will go broke fixing their issue. So we get to be the test and tune guys.
  22. And how can I prevent these new injectors from going bad in another 39k? Top tier fuel? Fuel cleaner every gas tank? And how can I know that these new ones are not a crappy design or is the fuel system the issue?
  23. See that’s my issue. I’m not paying the dealer something that I can get done for half the price or less with all 8 injectors. ( and better learn to do them myself at this mileage rate!!!!!) It’s a shame that there are so many posts about this on here and on the internet. And of course let’s blame the you didn’t use “top tier fuel”. I own several vehicles that I have to keep up with. Do yo our business. And have 2 work trucks that have over 300k miles......that get about 9-12mpg would you like to guess how many injectors I have had to replace on the countless gallons of fuel that have been used?!?!......... 0.
  24. You can google search it. There is a several things. But clearly states injectors are not covered. Smh
