    the inverter may be tied into the bcm, removing it could throw a code. I do not know this for sure, but it may not be as simple as yanking it out and replacing it with another inverter.

    The push button start is nice and convenient, i personally like it. but turning a key gives you that engaging feel that is being lost on many modern cars/trucks. modern cars are losing that connected feeling of driving a car. pretty soon cars will be driving you..... oh wait.....

    when you put the truck in reverse does the rear camera come onto the screen? could be a bad screen, OR a bad hmi module. you indicated the bluetooth still works, so im going to bet that your screen has died. We definitely have had customers that have had dead screens. its not common, but its also not uncommon for a screen failure.

    no key slot, some k2xx vehicles dont even have keys, escalade and, high trim yukons

    bad prep work when the paint was sprayed on. probably contaminates on the primer.

    the paint was peeling on the rockers of the drivers side door on my 2014 sierra, there was a TSB for it, and was repaired 1 day before the warranty expired. i was washing with a garden hose, not even a sprayer attachment and the paint literally fell right off. this is not a pressure washer issue!!! it is a paint adhering to the primer issue, bad prep work from the factory. the TSB called for sticking masking tape to the rockers, and pulling it off, if the paint came off with the tape they will peel and respray the door.
