  1. Hi, I have a 2010 Suburban 1500 with 220k on it. The transmission had a major failure the other day and I want to replace it myself with another used transmission. I have found several in the 100k-125K with warranty from various auto recyclers on the auction site. I have found ones from the same year vehicle but out of trucks not a Suburban. On researching this I found that the TCM comes into play when swapping different things around. After reading a bunch of different posts I am a little confused. I dont have the tools to do any of the programming or flashing. Is it possible to just swap the TCM from my original transmission into the replacement and not have to do any major programming?
