  1. Exact message that I received and with absolutely minimal braking! Unfortunately it’s probably going to take someone to get seriously hurt or killed to get GM to read all the same reviews that are happening and to take them serious. There appears to be a lot of ongoing software problems with the 2019 Sierra not only this problem but with the infotainment system too!
  2. Farrah this is exactly complete with all the same indications that I had happen to my 2019 Sierra back in the spring. I attempted to drive it about a mile to get to a location where I could park it. It has not done it since! This problem Is very widespread throughout the forums if only GMC would review. Unfortunately i am afraid it is going to get someone killed due primarily the near complete brake failure. I filed a complaint explaining everything in detail to the NHTSA and they responded with additional questions but from reading the forums the problem continues.
  3. I had very similiar problem happen on my 2019 GMC Sierra with 7000 miles. I had parked and when I returned I found the messages where I had lost most all braking, power stearing and had a dash full of lights telling me all sorts of warnings. I drove it about a mile and parked it and turned it off and back on and the problem continued. I turned it back off the second time and waited about 30 seconds and then heard a "clunking" noise under the dash/hood like a realy etc. had dropped out and it has been fine ever since. That was about 3000 miles ago. When I took it to the dealer for the initial 7000 oil change they found four recalls one of which I think had to do with this problem. The recall was 14121 (# N192210460) eBoost Control Module Software False Detection with DTC Associated - Reprogrammed BSCM per Recall. The three other recalls had to do with the navigation map and trailering lighting. Now the transmission is jerking and slipping and I understand there is a class action lawsuit ongoing about people having similiar transmission problems unfortunately. I have less than 9000 miles on the new truck.
  4. My 2019 GMC Sierra lost power steering and especially most of the braking. After turning it off for a few minutes and back on the problem all went away and has never returned. During my most recent oil change at 7000 miles there was a recall performed that appears to be attempting to correct the problem. The recall is # 14121 (40CVZRECALL) that was listed on my dealer repair invoice. Also Bulletin # PIT5638B appears to apply.
  5. I just had my new 2019 Sierra in for regular service at 7000 miles and they found four recall notices one of which hopefully repaired the problem I had with the "lack of steering and braking". The Notices were Recall 14121 (#N192210460 eBoost Control Module Software False Detection with DTC Associated) also noted (PIT5638B Service Brake Assist Message with DTC C0021, C058E and/or C05B0) The Dealer had to reprogram the software calibrations to correct the problem. The other recalls wer as follows: N192213550 Sofftware Error on trailer light control module N182201851 Reset Park Assist N182201852 Navigation Map SD Card Not Read
  6. This was a copy of my text to NHTSA. I filed a complaint yesterday. Without a doubt this is a major safety issue!
  7. On April 2, 2019 I parked brefily for about 30 minutes. Upon re-entering my 2019 GMC Sierra truck with approximately 4500 miles and starting the engine I immediately received multiple warning messages on my dash panel. They were "Service ESC" "Service Trailer Brake", "Brake System Failure" "Steering Assist Reduced" and to drive no faster than 62 MPH. Previously prior to parking I had never had any problems whatsoever. I was in a location where I needed to go so I attempted to drive but found quickly that the brake pedel went all the way to the floor with very limited or basically no braking. The steering became very difficult with no apparent power assist. I drove it approximately two miles and got to a location where I could park. I turned the engine off and back on and the problem did not go away. I turned it off again and waited a couple of minutes and then heard an automated couple of clunk sounds from the front.. I started it up and everything was okay except the check engine light was on and stayed on the rest of evening. The next morning the check engine light was still on however about twenty minutes later I noticed it was off and everything has been fine since. I had planned to take it to the GMC dealer however with no problem showing now and from past experience with the dealerships I decided there was no need to schedule an appointment until the symptoms come back. I found on the internet later that there are numerous instances where this has happened to many other 2019 GMC Sierra owners. I feel that this is a extremely serious problem that needs immediate attention especially with the near total braking system failure!
