I meant more about the capable part, meaning even if they are off having them attached makes you capable of turning them on, and since I'm not positive if visible means the diode must be visible or the light coming from the diode is enough in which case the light bleed from inside the wheel well could still be visible and a violation. I am pointing it out just so its thought about. I believe it's more for people who mount red or blue strobes on their grill or in their windshield but with the wording being vague I was pointing it out as a worse case scenario. Also as a reason to go single color for some people in states with even more strict laws.

Weird that more than one would fail simultaneously though. Hopefully it's nothing big and an easy fix when you have a chance to pull them and check.

Being capable in some cases is still illegal as stated in this section so be careful on color and placement.

Any idea what went wrong with the back lights?

I'm planning in going for 4 pods per wheel as well as 2 pods front, back and sides. I'm also running strip lights in a few spots. Just need to figure out the logistics of doing the lights the way I want and making it look right.

Or put rock lights on everything and just let the haters hate while you enjoy your truck just the way you like it.
