  1. Thanks for your input. I have 12k on the truck. Every time it regens i get the burned crayon type smell. I'll bring everything up with the dealer so its on record.
  2. Hi All, Its been getting a little cooler in the northeast during the morning which has required a bit of defrost/heat. With defrost on, and cabin re circulation on i get a periodic exhaust smell in the cab. This also happens when the truck is in regen but its the burned crayon type of smell when its in a regen cycle. I cant imagine that this is considered "normal" (cant imagine it would be, but weirder things have happened). Im due to go to the dealer for my last oil change and i will bring this up with them, but wanted to ask if any of you guys have experienced this and can shed some lite on what the fix is, or may be. Thanks!
  3. This will be my first winter with my L5P, so i cant answer first hand. I do remember seeing a youtube video, think the guy was in Minnesota and it was something like -30 or -40 air temp and the truck started without being plugged in, think it took two tries (surprised not more).
  4. Fair points by all. Im still reading up on all of this (new area for me).
  5. pgamboa (member here) is essentially the mirror whisperer LOL - he will be able to help you out, i would suggest contacting him, but im sure he will be post in this thread soon.
  6. Wow! Thanks for the info everyone! Clearly i have some research to do, but sounds like fluid film is out of the running, not interested in a product that will dissolve the factory coating. Thanks for all your help!
  7. All, Im new to the forum, been reading a TON, and will be doing some work soon with pgamboa. I picked up a new 2019 2500 duramax at the beginning of spring this year. Im in the northeast, and with all the liquid de-icer they lay down here im looking into additional ways to protect the underbody of my truck. So, my question is, do any of you have any experience with such products as filmco??? (not sure if i can post a link, so i didnt). I heard from one person locally that these sorts of products degrade the factory applied underbody coating and can create a big problem - id imagine if this was happening that they wouldnt be in business very long so id figure id ask all of you what your thoughts, opinions and experiences are with these sorts of products. Thanks!
