  1. Hvac? I have a ticking or popping noise that I'm trying to figure out under my dash. ticks and pops weather the fan is on or off. Only does it when i mess with the climate levers heat or cold.
  2. Not in my situation but, thanks for the link! I need to know what part number of doorman. https://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearch.aspx?year=2004&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado%201500&origin=YMM&parttype=Body%20Mount https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,2004,silverado+1500,5.3l+v8,1424102,body,body+mount,673
  3. 2004 silverado 1500 ext. cab 4x4 I'm looking to replace the body mounts. I don't want polyurethane, just the good ol rubber. I was looking on rockauto and all i get is doorman. The rad mounts are self explanitory but I don't understand which cab mounts I need. Does anyone know if I need position 1 or 2 mounts? I can't figure out what the difference is. Thanks! https://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearch.aspx?year=2004&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado%201500&origin=YMM&parttype=Body%20Mount https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,2004,silverado+1500,5.3l+v8,1424102,body,body+mount,673
  4. 04 silverado ext cab 4x4 I'm having an issue of a ticking or popping sound when I have the dual climate levers at 100% hot or cold. If I dial both of the levers down or up 25% the ticking or popping sound stops. The sound is only on the passenger side near the glove box. Also, the heat or cold keeps coming out the vents when I have it set at none. I believe I have to replace a hvac blend door actuator? Am I in the right direction? I have further questions on which one I need and how many I need to buy if i have to rip the whole dash out so I don't have to deal with another one going out for a while. Is there recalibration involved? I buy a lot of parts off of rockauto so if its on there, link me to the part number? Thanks!
  5. I recently bought an 04 Silverado z71 with 150k miles on it. All of the front end parts are aging, the alignment is off and after looking underneath the truck, I can already see that I need to replace the idler arm, pitman arm, tie rods, upper intermediate shaft (upper intermediate shaft is shot) etc... I should say that some of the front end parts aren't terrible but they should be replaced as they are aging and I want to return my truck to ride and steer like new. I already have a problem with the truck not accurately steering into a parking spot. The truck just won't turn very well and oftentimes will not turn in the same spot if I try again. I already spent over $600 in front end parts that I have not yet put on the truck. However, I am wondering if the steering gear box needs to be replaced. Again, I have not put any of the new front end parts on the truck yet so, I can't confirm or diagnose accurately as of yet. If I grab the lower intermediate shaft by hand and wiggle it back and forth, there is a bit of play in the gearbox. I would have to say it's a 1/4" of play. Is this normal? Also, there is small power steering fluid leak from the hose leading to the gearbox.
