  1. No doubt! That is a great idea actually. Another idea I have is I wish there was a way to display the front senor detection to the 8 inch screen and alert there just like the cross traffic alert that is displayed there. It is hard to see the front sensor detection display behind the steering wheel at times.
  2. I'd like to give an update on the external trailer camera functionality I experienced during my last trip. To my delight, I can confirm that with the 270 deg system, you can watch this camera view for as long as you want even above 8 mpg. In the camera view selection page on the console where you can select backup view, truck bed view, internal trailer view, or the external trailer view, I was able to select the external trailer view and keep this view up for as long as I wanted. You have an option to either tap the black box X on the top right of the view, select another camera view, or come out of the camera view selection page all together. I was very pleased to be able to do this. It is VERY helpful to see the traffic behind you instead of it being usable only for backing up situations. No "invisible view' of course but hey, you can see everything regardless! I will say this, and I saw this in another post, that you need to make sure you that you truck is powered off when making the camera connection to the back. If you do it while the truck is running, you may or may not have the external trailer view option available to you for whatever reason. Also, one last odd situation. I was never able to use this camera view while in the trailer app on the console. It'll detect the camera as it will give you an option to "preview" the view, but when making that selection, it'll ask if you want to "open this view in the app". Thus far, nothing ever happens when selecting this option, you can keep tapping this box over and over again but again, nothing happens. It never opened. In other words, if you want to view your external trailer camera, you will need to exit the trailer app so that you can go into the camera view selection page. Hope this helps others when deciding to purchase the external trailer camera! I'll give an update if I am ever able to make this work within the trailer app. Thank you!
  3. Thank you for that information and reply. I have the 270 deg UVI version. So essentially, I can use the camera behind the trailer as a function (meaning I can use it for what it is) but will not gain the "transparent" feature. Is that correct since I have the connections for the external and internal camera plug ins on the back of the truck? I am fine with that so long as I can see what is behind me. I'll also let ShopChevyPart know this information since what they have posted is incorrect. Thank you!
  4. Hi there, I just want to clarity as according to ShopCheyPart: https://www.shopchevyparts.com/electronics/2020-silverado-2500-invisible-trailer-camera-auxiliary-trailer-camera-models-with-cwm-pdm-uvn/84580657-p-92305265.html "The Transparent Trailer View relies on the factory tailgate camera and this camera mounted at the rear of the trailer." So, there are some conflicting information here. Can someone clarify? Thank you in advance!
  5. Honestly, I really like the look of Chevrolet boldly printed across the grill. Something different and to me it really makes the truck look tough, which we all know it is. I really like this truck! Just my opinion.
  6. Yes, I noticed that too this morning. A little disappointed. The LT has the folding mirrors button so it is absolutely capable of this setting. My take is that they had to intentionally write software code to not allow this. Does anyone know why they chose to not have this setting for the LT? Thank you!
