  1. Looks like we got it fixed. broken ground behind the pass. head thats common on these. Thanks for everyones help.
  2. Thanks Richard, I'll give it a go as soon as our work schedule and weather permits. Was my first thought as well but just didn't feel right to me. Hopefully it is just a bad ground somewhere. Will report back.
  3. When you say quick test using jumper cables are you referring to just jump starting the truck or do you mean jumping the engine and body grounds to negative? Thanks for your reply
  4. Dash stays like this indefinitely after key is shut off. Last night the airbag light and battery were staying illuminated as well.
  5. 05 Tahoe 4WD 5.3L Hi, so I'm helping a friend fix his truck. Driving yesterday and rounded a corner, service 4 wheel drive message came on (possibly unrelated but a first for this truck), then it died and wouldn't restart. Towed it home and some of the dash lights seem to be staying on with the key removed (will post pics of the ones staying on once he sends to me), no crank no start, and no communication to the scan tool. I have checked fuses and have power at the DLC but no communication. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start? Thank you
  6. I looked at that when I did the android auto upgrade and cluster from WAMS. Looks like some really neat features but nothing I need for that price. Especially just to do a fob. Thanks for your response. I'm hoping it's something simple I can jump a couple pins in the OBD port to activate or something similar.
  7. Hi, So I have a 2015 Silverado 1500. Recently had a key fob get lost and have a replacement but need to program it. I can't seem to get into programming it with my Modis Edge scan tool and really don't feel like dealing with the dealer just to redo the fobs. Has anyone come up with a way to program these fobs without going to the dealer? I know my Modis could do the fobs on my friends 17 so wasn't sure why I can't get to it on mine. Thank you Edit to add: I have seen Dorman sells something that plugs into the OBD port and comes with a fob but haven't been able to find the tool separately.
  8. I did not. I opened my tailgate up and it does not have the mounting provisions for the stock actuator so I just ordered the pop and lock. Actually just hooked it all up tonight. Seems to work pretty well. Of the dozen or so times I tried it I had a few that it didn't actually lock but I would say 8 out of 10 it did. Just seems like it needs a hair more travel to get it every time.
  9. This is what I found for a 16 on rockauto
  10. Anybody know if it would be possible to add a power lock to the tailgate to work with the door locks and key fob? What all would it entail, an actuator and bcm programming I would assume? Thanks
  11. @pgamboa so if I understand this correct. so long as i have the power and ground circuits pictured on the passenger side, can find a power non-memory passenger seat this is a plug and play swap?
