Same thing here: its happened with my truck (26k miles) & it appears to be related to apple-car play or the usB connection. When mine goes black I hit the “home” button on my dash & use it on bluetooth. Seems to work that way, so im guessing we either have bad usb ports or Apple car-play is the culprit

Mine used to do this all the time. I had a buddy that told me it was related to the auto-start/stop. (It didn't make sense to me but I was up for trying anything at that point). I’ve been militant about turning that off every-time I start my truck (i wish you could permanently disable it) & it hasn’t been an issue for me for @10k miles. I currently have 26k miles on the truck; so i dont know if turning the auto-start off did it or if the truck just quit doing it, but mine hasn't done it in close to 4 months.
