  1. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been on here. I have returned with a question for some of y’all more experienced guys out there. I’m trying to install a CB in my 2016 Silverado LT, I had a question about tapping one of the 12v outlets to power the radio. I never use the plug in the back (I have the center console folding seat deal and there is an outlet on the back I never use) and would like to wire the radio instead of using a plug (don’t want my crumbsnatchers fiddling with it when they ride with me). I was seeing if the was plausible, I have seen this done with dash cams and other devices like that. Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated. Y’all have a good evening and be safe out there.
  2. Hey guys, Got my 16 silverado 5.3 v8 in december of 19 only one owner before me good maintenance records. I noticed today the oil change sticker had 2-6-20 or 69000 miles when I got the truck it had 64000 and some change now it has 65000 and some change. My question is should I go by the date or milage? It takes 10 mins to get to work one way and other than that I usually only drive 45 mins from home every 2 weeks or so. So I'm not constantly on the go but was wanting to see what you guys thought, in my old trucks I changed oil every 3500 or so but this is my new baby and the newest vehicle I've owned everything else was like 90 models haha. So let me know yalls opinion. Thanks
  3. Ok gotcha, so I guess I'll need to make a trip to the dealership. How much did they charge? I know it probably differs by dealership, were they able to do it some day or did they have to keep your truck for a day?
  4. Projection wont work at all? Is there not a fix for it? Just curious.
  5. Haha it's all good, yeah I downloaded onto my galaxy s8. I saw an option for apple car play when I was going through the settings, odd that it would be able to do apple car play but not android auto haha but I guess it happens. When you did the software update how did you go about that at the dealership and how much did it cost if anything?
  6. Hey yall new to the site, joined so I could ask this question. I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado LT. I cant seem to get android auto to work or my phone to work with the mylink for that matter. When I plug in my galaxy s8 into usb and select project on the mylink it says I need to connect a compatible device. I read some where that I could use the wifi hotspot to put apps on the mylink but when I go under settings there is not a tab for wifi the only wifi options are under onstar. I bought the truck used so its had one owner before me, maybe they disabled something? I have no clue haha. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
