  1. I don't have a fix for you but I have experienced something similar twice now with my 2015. Twice now the starter has had "fits" where I'd turn the key and nothing would happen on the first start of the day. Sometimes it would start on the next key cycle, other times it would take 2-3 key cycles. When the starter would kick in, sometimes it would turn slow for a brief moment, then crank normal. For the rest of the day the truck started normally no matter how long it sat. The battery is less than a year old and tests good. After about a week, the truck stopped acting up and it started normally for several months. A friend asked how my truck was running. I made the mistake of answering positively. The next morning, I turned the key and... nothing. After a key cycle, it rolled over slow for a moment, then cranked and fired right up. Friend of mine, the same friend that jinxed it for me, said it was a bad starter, that it had happened to him. I made an appointment with the mechanic to replace the starter. Couldn't get it in for a week, but before the appointment came up it stopped acting up again and has been fine ever since. So I really don't know what's going on yet.
  2. 2015 Silverado 1500, 120,000 miles. When the temperature gets below 25F, and the headlights are on, and the heater fan is on, and the radio is on, when I pulse the windshield wipers, I lose all interior audio. No radio. No blinkers. No warning chimes. Nothing. Turning the radio off and on, even REALLY turning it off and on, does nothing. The only way to get audio back is to park the truck, shut it off, get out, walk away for 10 minutes, and come back. After that everything is fine again until the next time it happens. It has done this since the truck was new. Dealers want nothing to do with it. Couldn't reproduce it, no fault found. Talked to a service manager here recently about it. He put his hands in his pockets, looked at the ground, poked at an imaginary rock with his toe, and said, "Welll uh, I've never heard of such a thing, and uh, it sounds electrical, wiring... You could spend thousands hunting down a wiring problem like that..."
  3. Recently my 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L has begun to crank slowly, or not crank at all, on the first start of the day. Battery is less than a year old. When I hit the key on the first start of the day, nothing will happen. I have to cycle the key and on the second attempt, it cranks slow for a moment and then picks up and starts. Subsequent starts seem normal. It's only if the truck has been sitting for 12+ hours. This is the same truck I had a bent pushrod on back in February presumably due to a stuck AFS lifter in #1 cylinder. We never found out why and it has been running well for the most part since. My worry is this is a sign of the engine getting ready to let me down again, though the truck never gave me any indication of problems when it failed the first time.
