  1. I just installed new oem autoride rear shocks on my 05 tahoe (removed old passive shocks previous owner had put on) and noticed the electrical connectors had been replaced with a shrink wrapped resistor to mimic being connected to the shocks (my guess at what this is ). I assume this was to bypass the autoride and avoid the service ride control" message on the DIC? I spoke with my dealer and they confirmed I have the correct autoride shocks ac delco # 580-458. Anyway, I just picked up the replacement 2 wire connectors at the dealership and I need to know which wires to splice together? Does the polarity matter for the shock? Or can I cut off resistor and splice either wire to new connector wires and any arramgement?
