  1. I've got simlilar message. Service brake booster. Read up on it and it could be many things including: - replace brake booster or vacuum pump (wasn't for a silverado though) - poor contact of the sensor due to rust/corrosion I can't remember the last one, but best to take it to a mechanic because it seems pretty random
  2. Just getting ready to remove some rust from the frame on my silverado. It's just spots of surface rust in random area (super easy job). I read about the whole wax coatings ruining the metal behind it so I got worried and scratched up an area next to the rust... its spotless! Behind the wax coatings is fresh black factory paint. Does anyone else think that's strange or is this normal for the low mileage ones? I can upload pictures if anyone wants to view them. My main question is should I even worry about scraping the surface rust, applying a rust converter/paint/FF? I would only apply it to the main rusted areas but I don't want to mess with the factory wax coating if it's doing the job lol.
