I had my torque converter replaced and put in a CTS-V torque converter. It was done by a shop and I got my transmission re tuned for the new converter. Ever since I got it replaced whenever I come to a stop while driving idle fluctuates and when I press the pedal to continue driving engine revs up to about 1200-1500 rpms before it bucks and starts moving. What could this possibly be, my tuner said it could be converter spacing or shift linkage. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
Haven't logged oil temps yet but from whipple it doesn't recommend any special engine oil and supercharger oil change is every 100k Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
About to change the oil on my 17' suburban 5.3 with a whipple on it. Just recently installed the whipple and I'm curious to what engine oil is best now that it has a supercharger. I live in Florida where it's always hot which I've seen some people discuss over some searching. So far I've seen people say stick with 0w-20 but I've also seen people do the change to 5w-30 and I'm curious as to what will be best. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
Thanks for the info, definitely going to get the transmission tune, from what I read it makes a huge difference. Did you stick to oem oil 0w-20 or did you go with something different after the supercharger? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
Recently just bought a Whipple for my suburban and I am looking for info as far as reliability is concerned. How will stock transmission hold up with the added power and weight of the vehicle? Any recommendations for upgrades after the install? For now I am looking to just install the kit and not go with any other power upgrades Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
