  1. Joe, Just saw your post and I have the reverse problem AC only cold on passenger and now not AC on either side. I just replaced the driver side blend door actuator. Its like ~$30 and you can replace it without removing the entire dash but it is not a fun task to do. If you follow this video it covers just about everything you need to know about this problem.
  2. So a quick summary on all symptoms with the AC: Both passenger and driver side AC is blowing warm, slightly above ambient temperature, just going off feeling no actual temperature readings. Also just replaced drivers side blend door actuator so I know the symptoms with that. It feels like the AC seats may be working but I am not 100% sure that they are not just blowing ambient air. When the AC is turned on compressor clutch is engaged, but compressor clutch disengages when AC is turned off. Thought it might be possible for the common condenser leak but I believe that the condenser was replaced by the previous owner, as there is dye visible on the high and low pressure side fittings. Thinking that there is something else going on outside of just low freon as the compressor clutch is engaging/disengaging. Should also note the compressor is not short cycling and only disengages when the AC is turned off. With the gauges hooked up engine off low pressure side reading ~105psi with a high pressure side ~160psi. Engine turned on, AC turned on (compressor clutch is engaged) low pressure side ~95psi high pressure side ~160. Turn AC off (compressor clutch disengaged) engine still at idle low pressure side up to ~100psi and high pressure remained constant at ~160psi. Additionally thinking it my be something as silly as a blown fuse or faulty relay I checked all associated with HVAC and all came back in working order. This has all left me quite puzzled as to what could be the problem here. On to possible solutions: My most hopeful solution that I have come up with is that there is a bad expansion valve on the HVAC system. Other possible solutions is a bad compressor, or there is a blockage in one of the HVAC lines. Could it be possible that the system is low on freon? Possible wiring issue but doubtful as everything seems to be functioning outside of the pressures on the AC lines. I am going to go do some further tests with the gauges tomorrow and will update with what I find but I wanted to give this some time out on the forum If anyone has dealt with a similar issue please let me know how you fixed it or if you might have another possible solution that would be great. Unfortunately its still going to be hot here in Texas for another couple months show I can't just rely on enjoying the nice Fall air temperature.
  3. Hi everyone, I had the fun task of replacing the driver side blind door actuator on my 2014 GMC Sierra. Upon installing the new actuator I dropped one of the T20 screw and it now lives in my dashboard. To get my AC and truck usable I stole one of the screws from what I believe is a heater box or AC ducting under the dash. The screw was the same as on the blend door actuator so if someone happens to know what the replacement screw is that would be greatly appreciated.
