I am interesting in performing a similar upgrade on my 2016 1500 LTZ 4x4 with the G80 9.76" in 3.42 so I would like to get some more information on exactly what you bought. It appears that you got the Eaton Detroit Truetac 914A538 w/ spacer. I assume you also had to purchase a bearing kit and maybe a shim kit. Could you provide some more information? I bought my truck used with about 29K miles. I noticed right away that the rear diff felt loose but this truck also has the 8L90 which had bad shifting issues (way harsh on downshifts, 3-2, 2-1). The dealership resolved the tranny issues but says "no problem found" on the differential. During a fluid change, I did a visual inspection. I can see the spider gears moving on the differential pinion shaft nearly 1/16" towards the outside of the carrier as a wheel is rotated backwards and forwards. While this may be normal for a high mileage truck, it is surprising to me for a truck with only 30K miles. Rather than argue with the dealership, I figure I would rather just take the opportunity to upgrade to a Torsen style diff and that is why I chose the Trutrac.
