  1. My dealer looked at it, felt that it’s the haptic system in the seat and said other ones are just like it. Not a defect with my truck. :/. That’s why I’m back with GM which will likely not yield anything positive other than platitudes. I’ve asked before that they buy back my truck. I’ll ask again. And again. And again. 2. I’m working with a Sr Mgr from GM to see if they can come up with a resolution. Swapping my seat, they claim, would void my warranty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Is that one breathable? Can you feel the ventilation or heat? What about the vibration, can you feel that you? tried their Everywhere Seat cushion on a recent road trip. It helped in that my leg didn’t go completely numbs, but it was still not comfortable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Truck spent 24 hrs in the shop and obviously they were not able to replicate the issue troubleshooting with a number of suggestions from GM. They defaulted to “must be your phone’s operating system” which may or may not have been connected and was the latest iOS update. However, it has been logged with GM. If it continues, I will again resolve on the road with Onstar. Then bring it to the dealer. Rinse, repeat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Had this issue occur on my 2020 last night. Occurred in the middle of a long drive and we noticed the whole infotainment was unresponsive. XM Radio played even after doors shut, locked, reopened. Shut locked, etc. Onstar was also non responsive. Finally called Onstar and she had to reset it remotely then we did a workaround of turning off the truck, opening the driver door. Closing and waiting inside the truck until the Onstar light went off then back on. That fixed it. Software is up to date. It’s going to the dealership today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Back in the 2000s I had a similar thing occur in a Cadillac CTS. After the third trip to dealer did not fix, I was going to claim lemon law. Instead, GM gave me a brand new lease in a new model at same cost. Seems they wanted to avoid the lemon process as much as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. GM Family First pricing. It was OK. Not too many smokin' hot deals out there in this market. Used trucks are in high demand. But I'll definitely be looking at these companies as well as Carmax if I'm not able to find a viable option. I ordered something called the Purple Everywhere Seat cushion and it looks like it might help. Seems to be low profile with padding in the right places. Plus is looks like it lets air flow through and the heated/ventilated seats would still work. https://purple.com/seat-cushions/every-where
  8. Yes, of course I test drove it. The problem didn’t start until I put about 50 mins of drive time. But all that is irrelevant now. I can’t take much more than 5 mins in the seat and am looking for options. One upholstery shop told me they wouldn’t mess with a brand new seat and isn’t much they would do. Perhaps, GM can switch out seats for me. I’m willing to pay. It’s better than losing 15k on selling a new truck with 200 miles on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Has anyone modified or replaced the seats on their truck? I’ve got a brand new LTZ that is so uncomfortable to sit in that I’m considering taking a massive loss just to get a different truck. Seems it’s the vibrating module in the seat or maybe the platform for something. But it’s unbearable and not drivable for me. Tried calling a couple shops to see if they could make suggestions and pretty much struck out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I've got a 2020 LTZ that I just picked up this week with safety package and cooled seats. Truck has about 200 miles on it and I can't drive it any more. Has made my right leg go numb. Definitely related to a the mechanics under the seat and not enough cushioning. I never would have noticed it if I didn't spend at least 50 mins driving it at once. Now, I can't even make it to the store without my leg hurting. Called the dealer who will run it up the flagpole on Monday. I realize they're going to tell me to pound sand. I guess my alternatives are to get a gel pillow which defeats the heated/cooled seats as well as the vibrating (which I didn't know about and really don't want.) Other options are taking a financial bath and selling it at a loss or a Hail Mary is perhaps the dealer will cancel the sale because the trucks are in demand in my area. Extremely disappointed in these seats and now as a result, this truck. Completely unusable for me.
  11. I think the issue is not an ability to fit the holes, but using 5th wheel hitch in a short/standard bed needs a slider hitch.
  12. Hi. New owner of a 2500 HD LTZ with standard bed that I bought primarily as a tow vehicle. Definitely new to towing. We plan to rent trailers over the next few years and then decide on one that works for us. The truck came with the gooseneck/5th wheel prep package which I thought might come in handy if we go that route in the future. When I started looking for hitches, I saw mention of the "puck system" on a few sites but none of the hitches would fit the standard box. Rather, they specified the 8' bed only. Is towing via 5th wheel with a 6'8" standard bed possible? Why are the holes even drilled into the bed? Does anyone have a setup they'd like to recommend?
  13. Talked with etrailer and they said they've got nothing that will fit the 5th wheel prep package for a standard bed Silverado 2500 HD. WTF?
  14. Hi. Just picked up a new 2500 HD LTZ standard box with the gooseneck/5th wheel package. It's mostly for recreational purposes to tow rental travel trailers for the next couple years. New to most of this and looking online I see this referred to as the puck system. Many of the hitches on different sites are for the long bed trucks only. Every Curt hitch on their site for a Silverado 2500 specified the 8' bed. Does anyone have any recommendations for a 5th wheel hitch?
  15. Pic. As in.. singular. It's been sitting in the driveway for two days during some torrential rains.
  16. Just popped in to say hello. Picking up a 2020 Silverado 2500 HD LTZ tomorrow. Plan is to use mostly as a recreational tow vehicle or if my wife is nice, I'll let her use it for her landscaping business. Looking forward to renting some travel trailers for the next couple of years until the used market gets flooded with pandemic impulse camper buyers.
