Just started to hear something similar today. Also noticed a smell like a belt burning, but could not locate the source, have scheduled a dealer appointment. I’ve got 130000 on my 2014 High Country.

I recently had the same thing happen while on the road! Mirrors folded in, and when I pulled into a rest stop, the doors would lock as described. I replaced the battery in my key fob and the issue was resolved!
