So pretty much you're saying I don't even need the wiring harness or the latch, just the code and the key fobs??/

This is the kit I bought from it it is off of eBay but it is factory equipment 22997089 Complete Remote Start Kit for 2014 - 2018 Silverado or Sierra 1500 OEM The main thing I don't understand is that it has wiring harness going to the the original hood latch already And I don't know if I just leave that one there and tape it off

I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado I'm putting remote start in it all the wiring is from the dealer I noticed that the latch in my truck now has all of the same wiring on it it appears do I have to change that latch with the one that I get with the kit

All right guys I got a 2017 Chevy Silverado it is a fleet vehicle it did not come with remote start I bought all the wiring from The Chevy dealer ship by me with wiring and key fobs in the code I opened the hood and the original latch for the hood already had wiring going to it do I just leave the existing wire laying there and hook the wiring up that come with the kit or what if anybody has pictures maybe please let me know
