  1. Both engines have been pulled out, the main differance noticed is the timing chain cover and oil pan. Is there a replacement timing chain cover for the W code engine that can receive the crank sensor?
  2. Can a 454 W engine code bloc be used to replace a N code bloc? I have a seized up 454 N TBI engine and a good running 454 W 4bbl. I just want to swap blocs and keep the TBI running. It's in an early 90's motorhome and it's just to keep it running around THanks all
  3. Hi! How to make a long story short? As a former mechanic now truck driver, I was given an 1990 Empress class A RV on a G50 frame with a 454 carburated Chevy engine. Every thing runs fine but it has serious body issues. My wife and I gave long thoughts about rebuilding it but we found a 1992 with a great body but a seized engine. That one also on a G50 but with a TBI454. I found that to convert the TBI chassis to a carb, it would require a lot of changes even if I have most parts off the old RV. On the other hand, if I can only change the block, it would allow me to do much less modifications. I am wondering, before pulling out the engines, if both engine block are compatible. That way I may only have to swap the intakes and the exhausts manifolds instead of the trannies, the distributors, fuel pumps, etc, etc Any tips welcome! Jean
