    Just to update I took a gamble and bought a 22970855 kit and had it installed by the dealer. Works fine.

    Hello, It appears my truck has the AP8 code and can have remote start enabled but it requires a activation kit (17801236) which is discontinued. I've seen people comment that 22970855 worked for their 2011 Truck but nobody confirming this kit still works for the 2009. The dealer has provided conflicted information and not returned my phone calls. Anyone have experience with this?
