A time sensitive question... what truck batteries do you suggest for 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT 6L gas engine truck used with truck camper and possibly a winch (future purchase)? I say “batteries” as there is a dual battery system... 1 primary and one secondary/auxiliary to jump primary as necessary (nice feature given primary battery has been dead after parking/restarting over past 24 hrs) a d power “accessories”. I’m not familiar with 2 battery system, hence my questions. My primary battery is failing so need to replace asap. I bought the truck a couple months ago from a buddy. Given they are the original batteries, it appears they are failing on schedule (4-5 years old)? Both batteries appear to be standard hd lead acid batteries. It appears there is a H7 size as primary and H6 size as secondary/auxiliary battery. It appears the secondary/auxilary battery is H6 vs. H7 since the tray won't fit an H7 sized battery. Should I stick with and replace standard hd lead acid battery at same sizes as originals, or update to AGMs, etc.? I have a pop-up truck camper on order., so want to take that into account with the battery replacement. I also may add a front winch to the truck, so need to keep that in mind as well. Should I go with a battery upgrade or stick with standard? AGMs? AGM for both batteries or just aux battery? What quality/cost AGM battery manufacturer? Other relevant questions I’m not asking?
