  1. I installed A Scanguage II in my 2006 Silverado Work Truck, if you own one you know there is no trip, mpg, much less the ability to scan, clear codes, or read RPM and sensors. I purchased a overhead console and cut out my opening to install in my roof. Wired the courtesy lights and the Homelink to the Mid Body Connector using the wiring diagram off the threads. Then used the blank for the cubby hole to cut to fit around the Scanguage II, then wrapped the rough edges of the opening I cut by using rubber edging I had left over from another fender flare project. Using my carpenter skills I cut the rubber edging at 45 degree angles to make the picture frame opening. Then firmly pressing the Scanguage II through the opening I cut letting the friction pressure hold it in place. Running the cable was a little concerning as it was just barely long enough. But all is good. Next is the testing of the Trip and MPG. I am pleased so far.
  2. Switch came in yesterday, everything works!
  3. I have an 06 Silverado that I converted to 2002 Power Windows and Door Locks. I have pinned out the Power Windows and Door Locks. Built a reversing double relay for the door locks and a bridge harness for the power windows. Everything works, well sort of. I am now trying to figure out the power mirror switch and have hit a bit of trouble. I used the donor harness from a four door 02 Silverado and purchased the switches for the two door. The issue seems to be the the wire and switch may not be the same between the 2dr switch and 4 dr harness. I removed the green and purple wires that go to the rear windows. Leaving the other wires in the same positions. I can find the 4 dr switch pinouts but not the 2 dr so my questions is are they diffrent? and if so does anyone have the pinout for the 2 dr? If not I will strip the wires to the mirrors and bypass the switch.
  4. So I have a 2006 Silverado Work Truck and I am doing some upgrades. I didn't think they are too difficult but I have an issue. I cannot communicate with the BCM after adding the RAP wire that was missing on the controller plug to turn on my after market radio through a relay relay. (I wired in the relay and the BCM actives it as expected) It has the crank but no start issue. When the Key is activated the Security Light show's for a few seconds on the Dash and then goes off as normal. All the basic BCM functions appear to work, doors activate the overhead light, Auto Headlights, AC engages, but this is a work truck so there is little else except the Passlock2. I have tested the power wires to the BCM all test good. I have tested the ground wires to the BCM all test good. I have used the Tech2Win software on my Laptop. I can see various modules which are active, but the BCM is missing. I have programmed the HVAC, PCM, IPC, and other modules with updates from the ACdelco SPS website, all complete with no problems. So my next thought is to disconnect all the wires from the BCM except for the Power, Ground and Serial Wire to verify if I can get signal? I have some extra pigtails for the BCM I took out of a LKQ Chevy Truck of the same year when I was gathering parts. I also have a question on BCM Programming, watching a YouTube video I observed them programming the BCM by going to the Radio then selecting the BCM as a drop down. My truck is a work truck and has an aftermarket radio, so I don't think that's the way it would program? or is it? I'm scratching my head on this one. Any help on where to look or what to test is greatly appreciated.
