  1. Good thread. I just picked up a 21 2.7l Silverado. Any thoughts on a catch can that would work with it and are there any instructions out there for this motor? Thanks
  2. Awesome, it looks great, just picked up a 21 so I may have to have my local guy do it.
  3. Any suggestions on purchasing/installing a catch can on the 2.7l?
  4. Damn, looks good, which coating did you have applied?
  5. Catch can, has anyone installed one on this engine and where do I purchase one? I can get a cheap one off of ebay but I have no idea which lines to tap into. Thanks!
  6. I think there is a fuse I can move over a position on the passenger side of the vehicle that will do the same thing, I'm going to give it a try this afternoon.
  7. Gracias, I was finally able to drive it for a second time yesterday and I just can't get over how small that little engine is for what it's doing. It won't win races but in a full size truck you'd never know it was a 4cylinder just by the way it drives.
  8. I'm not actually concerned about the output, more the frequency. It's probably safe to assume it's ok to use computer equipment but if it's the wrong type of inverter it can fry sensitive equipment. With a proper computer safe inverter it will always output power at 60Hz, with the wrong type of inverter the output frequency will vary (that's why you can change the speed of a blender running on a gas generator by varying the RPMs of the generator). So I guess my question is does the built in outlet output a stable frequency.
  9. Just thought of something else, is the built in 400w 120v inverter safe to use with computer equipment?
  10. Thanks, good to know, I'll have to adjust mine.
  11. That controller will do nicely, thanks for the link!
  12. Thanks, that is really disappointing about the wireless AA. There is a bluetooth dongle that will do the same thing but it would be nice if it were built in. I'll look into the gm controller, I don't town often (hence the 2.7) so I can do without for a while.
  13. Ah well, thanks for the heads up.
  14. Just thought of another question, is there a way to tell when the 2.7l goes into 2 cylinder mode? My vette shows it on the DIC but I haven't noticed any sort of icon on the Silverado.
  15. Thank you, that is exactly what I was looking for!
