I was also having the same issue with my 2016 Sierra. I took it to the Stealership and spent money on a diagnostic check. They told me it was the blower motor and replaced it. It all seems to work fine now. I wish that I bought a blower motor first and tried that, but i thought it might have had something to do with reprogramming the heater control module.
