    Flush the motor twice. Seemed to be running clear. Put the 160 thermostat in. Still running hot. Water temp dropped from across the radiator is 178 down to 104. New radiator cap (20 psi). We're at a total loss here.

    water pump leaking, added stop and water, limped home. Changed water pump, thermostat, belts, fan clutch. Filled with 2gallons antifreeze concentrate topped off with water. Burped system. Now over heating 225, on gauge, handheld tester agrees with head beside temp sensor , top hose 199, lower hose 123. Tested thermostat opens at 190,
