  1. Thanks for the reply J2. Interestingly enough, my phone always shows connected on the infotainment screen. However, I like your hunch about the system getting out of sync as I have the same theory about the remote start. When the vehicle is remotely started, it has to limit vehicle functionality. Once you enter the vehicle and push the button to complete the start, the truck has to activate all disabled items. My thought is they left voice commands of the list or the order of operations to start services is incorrect. I am no software engineer, but since I can replicate the problem at will, I want Chevy to prove the radio is defective before they tear into my dash.
  2. LOL…yea, I noticed the typo and fixed it. Thank you. I only claim there are numerous problems because the tech sent me a screenshot from DCM where they said they deal with multiple Bluetooth tickets each week. Do you remote start your truck? If so, are you able to use steering wheel voice commands to make a call on your phone? Appreciate the feedback.
  3. Hello. I am new to the forum and found a unique problem with my truck - 2020 Silverado 1500 High Country. I have an iPhone 12. It pairs with the truck and works perfectly fine when I start the truck from within using the push button. It does not work properly if I remote start the truck with the key fob. Everything works except the voice commands. It says…I can’t find a phone. Pair or connect a phone and try again. The phone is connected. I can receive incoming calls, all contacts are visible and the infotainment screen says my phone is connected. I opened a case with GM. The had me reset my phone and my truck. When it did not resolve the problem, they sent me to the dealer. The dealer could not replicate the problem because they did not remote start the truck. I sent them a video to confirm the problem. They said it was my phone so I paired my wife’s phone. Same problem. They then told me it is an iPhone problem. I paired an android and had the same issue and sent all videos to the dealer. They now want to replace my radio based on feedback from DCM and other TAC research. My question is this…I know there are lots of issues with Bluetooth and these vehicles. Does anyone else have a similar truck that can try to replicate this problem? GM says my findings with remote start is an anomaly. I am wondering if I stumbled on to something with remote start and GM needs to address the problem with software updates instead of tearing into my dash. Thanks!
