  1. Thank you for the reply! I am in WNY. You replaced the toe kick switch on the running boards or interior? Could you share the link to clean? I would really appreciate it.
  2. The toe kick button on the side of the running board no longer extends the step to the rear wheel, however I can have it extend through the button in the interior. Also seems to be moving a bit slower when opening the door. Any ideas to repair and improve functionality and performance?
  3. Just had my whole back window replaced under warranty because it was leaking on passengers side.
  4. As a very late update, it was the transmission fluid pump that had to be replaced under warranty.
  5. I vinyl wrapped mine, got ripped by boots and branches eventually. I then just took off the chrome piece. Looks much better, was easy, and holds up really well. The vinyl didn't react well with ice and slush after a year or so either.
  6. my understanding was the whole assembly, the shifter and boot looked new. I will look at the service write up for exacts.
  7. I have a whine when taking foot off accelerator below 40MPH. Not it is not turbo whine, you can hear that while this noise is happening. I had a vehicle that made similar noise that required the idler pulley be replaced. Any ideas?
  8. As a very late update: Took my truck to another dealer and they replaced the shifter. It is very stiff and doesnt move around as expected.
  9. lol Thanks for your responses. I locked the doors, keyfob left inside 25'+ away, went outside, pressed button on tailgate, and it opened. Cab doors stayed locked. I have it going to a new dealer for another issue in two weeks. I'll have them hopefully fix this too.
  10. My tailgate no longer locks with the doors. Not even sure when this stopped working. Any ideas of what may have changed? or settings that can be changed? I gave it a look, but couldn't find anything.
  11. thanks! that is really helpful!
  12. call the 1-800 number to open a customer assistance case? My issue is a really loose column shifter. They opened a TAC case, but I don't believe are really pushing the issue or advocating on my behalf. It is really annoying to me and wasn't like that initially.
  13. Wondering if customers are able to submit cases/complaints directly to GM to instruct a dealer to fix something if the vehicle is still under warranty. I do understand dealerships/service centers have to follow instructions/processes to be able to submit for warranty, but wondering if I can do the work to send all evidence to GM to have them instruct the dealer with TSBs or authorization to repair under warranty? thanks!
  14. let me know what you discover! It's really annoying to me. The column shifter has been in trucks for decades and in a ~$68k truck I expect much better. I have complained multiple times taking it to the dealer for other issues, the SA opened a "TAC Case." No idea what that is. I am going to be providing the video I posted and a video driving my buddy's Denali HD that does not move at all going 75MPH+. The service manager compared it to his 2021 Silverado and another Sierra on the lot saying it is normal; I replied those trucks probably need to be repaired as well!
  15. Update: dealership service manager stated this slop in drive and shaking over bumps/highway speed is normal and he will show me in his truck. I stated a good friend of mine has a 2500 Denali with more miles and it doesn't do this, he proceed to tell me they aren't the same shifter or steering column in the HD vs. 1500. Any truth to that? Either way I am going to insist the screws are checked and if they are tight the steering column be replaced because I am not happy with it. Might as well do that while it is in for an emissions issue that's taken 3 visits so far
  16. IMG_6763.MOV This was driving today at 65MPH. Camera is slightly moving, however the shaking on the shifter is definitely noticeable.
  17. if anyone sees any swing boxes or storage boxes used for sale on CL, FB Marketplace, or ebay, please DM or post here if allowed. thanks.
  18. those are nice! I will keep an eye out for them on CL or FB Marketplace. I guess the only thing is you have to open the tonneau each time you want to get in there, right? The swing boxes would come past the end of the tonneau.
  19. very nice! thanks for sharing!
  20. Anyone have one of the swinging tool box storage cases? Please share your experience with them and pics. I am interested in getting one. Seems convenient!
  21. It's not loose when shifting, just more when actually in a gear. Drive is definitely the sloppiest which causes the shaking at highway speeds.
  22. As you can see in the video, once you hit drive there is significantly more movement. I don't think that's normal. In new trucks it is tight. FullSizeRender.MOV
  23. I know there are some other posts about this, but has anyone found a DIY fix? My column shifter moves/vibrates at highway speeds very noticeably and when in Drive has some serious slop of 1/2'' to 1'' up and down. It isn't as noticeable under 50MPH, but at lower speeds over bumps very noticeable. I feel like its gotten worse with time, but the tech said it is normal compared to other trucks. I also am not sure he was trying it while in Drive. In any other gear it feels stiff. any input or feedback appreciated - dealership will definitely be a PITA about this one.
  24. I am going to order them soon and replace! the foam bumps have to be replaced as well. thanks!!
