  1. Picked mine up last night from the dealer, after the repair. I just drove it home. It's 70° f outside. 60 miles, mixed speeds and no noise.
  2. 20 Silverado diagnosed at 20k miles. At 40k now. Dropped it Monday night and it was ready at 10 am yesterday. I'm in Tennessee and we had frost this morning, so I wouldn't hear it anyway. It'll be 70 this afternoon. I'll be listening intently and let you guys know.
  3. Happy to say this will be my last post. I ran auto four-wheel drive for about eight weeks after researching and finding that it wouldn't hurt my drive train. I initially thought about running it that way permanently and from time to time I would switch back to two-wheel drive. I'm happy to report that I no longer have the jingle and I've been running two wheel drive for several months. I don't know if auto four-wheel drive was the reason or it just needed about 15,000 more miles, but this is my story.
  4. Responding to my own post here. 2020 RST Duramax 30k. After running Auto4wd for a bit I'm back in 2wd and am happy to report the squeal is much quieter. I don't know how or why, but it is. I have to listen for it now to notice.
  5. I called today and booked an appointment for the leaf spring PIP and asked. He said no fix yet.
  6. I drive 55 miles each way and I've been running Auto4wd for several months with no real noticeable loss in mpg. I can tell you, in my humble opinion, it's a lot louder than a "jingle" in my truck. It's a loud, ear piercing squeal. Pretty embarrassing driving a new truck down the road, especially when you see all the dogs running for the hills. I'll be running this way until they find a fix. Here's a link to another thread on Auto4wd. One guy says no reason to use it, but I beg to differ. : )
  7. Doesn't look good. I drove 100 miles yesterday and I could hear the chirp and then hear it even louder when it bounced off of other cars going by. Some of us are hoping guys like you with higher end vehicles will help push things along. It's nuts to me there isn't a fix yet. They have tried in the past, so I'll hold out hope they're still trying. I love the truck. Baby Duramax here.
  8. I was at the dealer Friday for an oil change and was told no fix yet. Before long, some diy'er will figure it out. Definitely annoying. I hear it every day. Who knew you needed to research service bulletins before you buy a car now. I definitely will from now on.
  9. 2020 LM2 Z71. Dropped mine off for this and the common leaf spring noise. I handed them both bulletins and they were able to confirm both. I'm to the point where I'd like to just use Auto 4wd consistently to avoid hearing it. Mine starts after it gets warm and continually gets louder. Can't have my windows down at highway speeds. I talked to the service guy and he said he'd never seen a service bulletin go unfixed. Not sure I believe that. Hoping some diy'er comes up with a solution because I love the truck.
